Detailed Walkthrough

To find Polymer in the game, you’ll first need to go to the Zeta Ophiuchi system. This system can be found just southeast of the Volii system, which is southeast of the Alpha Centauri system. Once you’re there, you’ll need to go to a specific planet.

Starfield Zeta Ophiuchi System

That planet is the Zeta Opiuchi I planet. There’s a city on that planet but that’s not the place we’re going to. Instead, rotate the planet and look for the forest biome. It should be called “Dedicious Forest” on the right side of your screen. Travel there and land in any area of that biome.

Once you’re there, you’ll need to look for the yellow plants shown on the image below. That plant is called the Aruna Goldenglow.

You can walk up to them and interact with them to harvest the plant. Doing so will get you Polymer! You can then walk around the biome getting as much Polymer as you want!

Botany – Greenhouse

If you put a point into Botany, and then scan the Aruna Goldenglow to 100%, you can proceed to construct a greenhouse within your base. By supplying it with water and directing its output to a storage unit, you’ll effortlessly generate an endless supply of polymer.

That’s how you can get Polymer in Starfield. Now go out there and try to get as much Polymer for yourself! Make sure to go to check out our guide on how to get Abyss Trekker ships if you haven’t already!
