Starfield: How To Get PHALANX II SHIP

How To Get PHALANX II SHIP

The great thing about this ship is that you won’t have to make a ton of effort to obtain it. However, you will need access to the designated area and the resources needed to purchase it. Here is a quick summary of the steps that you need to follow to get the Phalanx II Ship:

1. Go to the Space Port in New Atlantis. You can find it on the Jemison planet which is in the Alpha Centauri System.
2. When you arrive, go to the right. You will see a Ship Services Technician standing alongside the Ship Services sign.
3. Talk to him and go through the Ships that he offers on sale. Go through his catalog and you will find the Phalanx II Ship for sale.
4. Purchase the ship from him. Having the Commerce Skill and upgrading it will allow you to get a discount on the transaction.

Detailed Breakdown

Go to the Space Port in New Atlantis. You can open the Star Map and find it by going to the Jemison planet in the Alpha Centauri System. This planet has quite a few areas that you can go to with some of these being stacked on one another. 

You may even notice that the New Atlantis area is not being shown on the Star Map. This is a problem that many people in the game have faced due to the design of the map.

Don’t worry, this does not mean that you haven’t unlocked the New Atlantis area. Simply hover over the icon with the MAST District label on it. This will reveal a new list of locations that you can go to, including New Atlantis. Select the area and fast travel to it.

When you arrive at New Atlantis, you will notice the beautiful and modernistic Space Port building rising above you on the left. However, this is not where you need to go. Instead, turn to the right and you will see a man standing next to a sign labeled Ships Services.

This is the Ship Services Technician of New Atlantis. Talk to him and this will open a number of dialogue options. Choose the one where you ask him about what ships are on sale as this will open the Ships catalog for you to browse through.

You will find that the Phalanx II Ship is up for sale. The price will depend on your rank in the Commerce Skill but it should be around 175k Credits. That is a lot of money and you will need to decide whether the advantages it offers are something you are interested in.

If you do decide to buy it, upgrading the Commerce Skill can help you a lot in getting a discount on the final price.

The Phalanx II Ship is worth it for quite a few Starfield players, especially for those who are into more Combat-focused ships.

This is because it offers a Class B Reactor meaning it has decent speed alongside a great Shield Capacity. Most notably, it has a strong focus on Missiles which is customary of Deimos Ships.  

However, it does have a very small Cargo Capacity which may not be suitable for you if you are looking to haul goods. It has a very classy design with weapons all around it. It is also one of the longest ships in the game. So, if you like the specialties it offers, we recommend going for it.
