Starfield has a whole world, a whole universe actually, where you can explore and find things. You can talk to people in different planets and get quests from them. But sometimes, the quest comes to you.

The more you play with the United Colonies, the more you’ll find that there’s something going on behind the scenes. The Devils You Know is one such mission that really adds to the world building. In this guide, I will show you how The Devils You Know guide goes, and how you can complete it.

The Devils You Know Guide

When you get the quest, you will have to go to the meeting location in the MAST Administrative Division in New Atlantis. When you go inside, you will have to take the elevator to Subsection Seven, which is the last option on the list when you interact with the elevator.

Go deep into Subsection Seven until you reach a locked door. There is a guard to your right that will open the door for you. If you have a companion, that companion will be told to wait there until you are done. Once the door opens, go inside and continue following the quest marker.

When you reach the end of the corridor and enter a room with a man standing behind glass, you will have to use the intercom to speak to him. This is Francois Sanon, or Vae Victis.

Continue talking to him and ask questions when you want to. There’s a lot of lore dump here, so you will need to pay attention here. Once you are done talking to him, you will have to go back to your ship.

Speak to Captain Marquez

After speaking to Sanon, you will have to go to the Wolf system to speak to Captain Marquez. Go to your ship and set course for the system and you should be orbiting Chthonia.

Once there, you will have to look around until you find The Den spacestation, which should be marked by your quest with a quest marker. Approach the spacestation slowly and dock so you can enter the spacestation.

Follow the quest marker and you will find Captain Marquez. Talk to her and ask questions you want to ask. Once done, your next objective will show up, which is to find The Warlock.

Find “The Warlock”

After speaking to Captain Marquez, board your ship once again and this time, plot a course to the Etherea Ruins so you can find The Warlock.

I am warning you now that you will need to fight The Warlock in a ship battle, so make a save beforehand and upgrade your ship (or buy a stronger one). So, you won’t get blasted to smithereens.

When you reach the space orbiting the planet, you will find an asteroid field. You will need to be careful because you can crash into them and die. Venturing into the asteroid field, you will eventually come across The Warlock.

Now, you can do one or two things: destroy the ship with The Warlock in it or disable it so you can board the ship. Whatever you decide is up to you as long as you get the evidence that The Warlock is dead.

Return the Evidence to Vae Victis

When you get the evidence, go back to Sanon and give the evidence to him. After some more dialogue, the conversation will end and the quest will complete.
