The First Descendant is an upcoming free to play third-person co-op game with a lot of looting, shooting, and grinding. Whenever you acquire a new character, you’ll have to grind them up from level one, and this may sound like a tiring task at first. Luckily, there are ways to progress quickly, and this guide will be covering one of these methods!
NOTE: Please be aware that this guide is made from the demo version of the game, and its recommendations may no longer be optimal upon the game’s full release.

Fastest Way to Level Up | Farm XP, Materials, Money & Kuiper Shard
Upon logging in to the game, you’ll find yourself in the main hub area. From where you spawn, simply run forward and then take a left once you step outside to reach the Special Operation Terminal.
Once you access the terminal, select the Resource Defense mission on the top right corner of the screen, within The Sterile Land region. This mission spawns an onslaught of enemies that makes it the perfect choice for farming XP, money, materials, and even Kuiper Shards.
Even if you’re a solo player, you’ll be matched with others as long as there are people queueing up for it. This is important, as having a team will allow you to complete the event much faster than if you were alone, especially if you’re running it with a newly acquired character.
Your teammates’ kills also count towards your experience gain, and since tons of enemies spawn throughout the course of the event, you’ll quickly progress within the first few minutes.
A single run, which will have you facing 21 waves of enemies, will last an average of around half an hour, and this can take your character from level 1 to about 20 and above.
Even once you’ve reached higher levels, this is one of the best activities you can run for experience during the beta period, so get out there and start grinding it while you can!
