The First Descendant is a new looter shooter by Nexon that has finally gotten its full launch after being hyped up for months. As with other titles in the genre, the game will throw countless new guns your way, but most of them will likely be thrown in the dumpster. In this guide, we’ll show you how to level up your weapons so that you don’t have to throw away your favorite ones!
How to Level Up Weapons Guide
First up, you will need a phase exchanger that is appropriate for the rarity of the weapon that you wish to upgrade. Here are the two different types that you can craft over at Anais’ shop:
- Phase Exchanger – The regular phase exchanger is used for upgrading more common weapons. It is incredibly cheap and can be made in bulk. Requires some superalloy.
- Precision Phase Exchanger – These are mainly used for ultimate rarity weapons and are significantly more expensive to craft. Requires some liquid metal.
Either of these will require certain resources that you can get by dismantling guns. As a side note, you should definitely be dismantling unwanted weapons rather than selling them, as this will benefit you more in the long run.
This can be done quickly by checking your inventory and designating all as junk after favoriting anything that you wish to keep. After that, simply hold the button for dismantling junk to turn all of the selected items into resources.
The Workbench
Once you have claimed whichever phase exchanger you need, head on over to the workshop just outside of Anais’ spot. Check the map image below to see exactly where it is.
From there, interact with the workbench and select the weapon level transmission option. In the following menu, simply select which gun you want to level up.
In the next menu after that, select the highest level weapon in your inventory that you don’t need anymore. This gun will act as the fodder that will transfer its level to your desired weapon, destroying it in the process.
That is basically the entire loop that you’ll be engaging with whenever you progress through the game and get better weapons. Doing this will basically just increase a gun’s DPS, and there are other ways to boost its stats that is beyond the scope of this guide.
And that is everything you need to know in order to level up your weapons in this game, as it is a fairly straightforward process, albeit a bit time consuming due to the arbitrary crafting timers.
