Murky Energy Residue is just one of the several resources that you’ll need for crafting when playing The First Descendant. It can be used to unlock Valby in the game. If you’re a Valby main, you’ll be particularly interested in it so that you can get the Valby Stabilizer Research Material.

But how can you get your hands on this elusive material in The First Descendant? In this guide, we’ll be looking at the best way to be able to farm Murky Energy Residue. Without further delay, let’s get into it!

Where To Find Murky Energy Residue

In general, there are several ways in which you can get Murky Energy Residue in The First Descendant. You can simply come upon it like a lot of players do or get it through a main mission. However, these methods are not reliable and will not allow you to farm it.

So, the best way to get the Murky Energy Residue is by running two particular dungeons. Here are the steps that you need to follow:

  1. Go to the Sterile Land
  2. Run the Unknown Laboratory or The Forgottense Dungeons
  3. Obtain Murky Energy Residue as a chance to drop
  4. Repeat the process until you have the required material.

Go To Sterile Land

When you go to the Acquisition Info menu for Murky Energy Residue, you’ll see a bunch of methods listed out to get it. We recommend focusing on the first two, which will show you two dungeons in the Sterile Land on your map.

So, your first step will be to click on these and head to the Sterile Land in The First Descendant. You should be able to see the exact location on your map for the specific dungeon that you clicked on in this menu.

Run The Dungeons

Once you reach the Sterile Land in The First Descendant, you’ll see two dungeons. Both of them are Normal Difficulty dungeons, and they are named the following:

  • Unknown Laboratory
  • The Forgottense.

You can run any of these but we recommend doing the Unknown Laboratory as it can be slightly easier. After you pick one, you’ll need to beat the Dungeon to be able to get the Murky Energy Residue.

Keep in mind that the Murky Energy Residue simply has a chance to drop. This means that you are not guaranteed to get it after you beat a dungeon.

However, if you do manage to get it, you will typically get a lot of this resource. From one dungeon, you can get around x12-20 Murky Energy Residue. So after a few runs of the dungeon, you should be able to get all the Murky Energy Residue you need in The First Descendant.
