Type Soul: How To Get Fire Knight Katana Dagger Fast

Your complete guide to farming the newest Hell weapons!

The latest Type Soul update just dropped, and with it came two brand-new exclusive Hell weapons that players are already grinding for: the Fire Knight Katana and the Fire Knight Dagger. Both weapons look great, hit hard, and come with unique crits — but they’re also tied to RNG farming, so knowing how to get them fast is key. In this guide, I’ll walk you through what makes these weapons special, how they work in combat, and the best way to farm them. I’ll also share my personal experience getting my own Fire Knight Katana (Medium Ember variant), so you know exactly what to expect.

How To Get Fire Knight Katana Dagger Fast

Here’s the important part: drops.

Both weapons are farmable from Hell mobs. Based on player reports (and my own farming):

  • Most people got them from the Lava Boss,
  • But they might also drop from the Soul Reaper Bankai NPC,
  • Hell Golems also seem to have a chance — that’s where I personally got mine.

👉 Best strategy: Farm both Lava Boss and Bankai NPC while clearing Golems along the way. The drop rate doesn’t feel painfully low, since multiple players have already obtained them. I got mine after around 15–20 kills, so with persistence, you should see results quickly.

Here’s a video guide on how to get the Fire Knight Katana Dagger fast in Type Soul by farming Hell Mobs.

Fire Knight Katana & Dagger – What You Need To Know

  • Fire Knight Katana → Exclusive to Soul Reapers.
  • Fire Knight Dagger → Exclusive to Quincies.

At first glance, they’re actually pretty similar. Both weapons have flashy crits, sleek animations, and a smooth moveset. The Katana even comes with a custom stance that makes it stand out in your loadout.

Interestingly, the animations feel almost identical to the old Fire Knight’s Greatsword from over a year ago — so in a way, these are like updated reskins. Still, they look and feel powerful, and that’s what counts.

Fire Knight Katana (Medium Ember) & Fire Knight Dagger Showcase

When I finally dropped the Medium Fire Knight’s Ember Katana, here’s what happened:

  • Equipping it gives a cool message: “You’ve absorbed the flames.”
  • Classified as Mythical rarity — meaning it’s not something you’ll see every player holding.

Moveset & Crits

  • M1s: Standard katana swings, but with insane posture damage. At 50 Kendo, each M1 hit drained a full posture bar.
  • Neutral Crit: Shoots a fireball — decent damage, knockback effect, deals about 1/6 of a health bar.
  • Running Crit: Sliding slash that guard breaks.
  • Cooldowns: Neutral and running crits don’t share a cooldown, which lets you chain them together.
  • No aerial or back crits — just those two.

Guard Break & Posture

  • Neutral crit → About 4.5 bars of posture at 55 Kendo.
  • Running crit → Guard breaks and combos perfectly into Rising Swallow.
  • M1 into crit is practically a guaranteed guard break setup.

Overall Impressions

Honestly? These weapons slap.

  • Simple moveset, but super effective.
  • The posture damage is crazy, and the double crits (that don’t share cooldowns) make it extremely useful in PvP.
  • Even at lower ELO (I’m around 200), it’s already proving strong enough for ranked fights.

And the best part? It doesn’t feel impossible to farm. With 15–20 Hell mob kills, I had mine, and others are getting theirs just as quickly.

Wrap-Up

The Fire Knight Katana and Dagger are easily some of the coolest additions in this update. Whether you’re a Soul Reaper or Quincy, both weapons offer strong crits, fun combos, and a flashy design that makes them worth the grind.

If you’re trying to get one fast, hit up the Lava Boss, clear out Hell mobs (especially Golems), and check the Soul Reaper Bankai NPC while you’re at it. With some persistence, you’ll probably snag one quicker than you think.

Have you gotten your Fire Knight drop yet? Let me know how many mobs it took you — maybe I just got lucky with my 15–20 run. Up next, if you’re aiming to get the Hellspiercer, another powerful Hell weapon that’s especially effective for Arrancars, make sure to check out our full guide on how to obtain it.
