Castle Guard Complete Guide | Top 5 Castle Guard Tips & Tricks For Warlander

Warlander is a team versus team game, and that means you will need to be a team player for your side to win. That’s why each team in Warlander is divided into squads where you can vote on which squad role you get.

One of these squad roles is Castle Guard and, in this guide, we’ll show you how to play as them.

Defend Against the Enemy Catapult!

The catapult is the main weapon in destroying structures in the game, and since you’re defending the castle that’s bad news for you if the enemy has it.

If you spec ops team is having trouble fighting getting the catapult, help them out. You can also destroy the catapult by using the cannons on your castle, just be aware that the enemy catapult knows this to and will prioritize taking your cannons out.

Keep an Eye on the Enemies

Defending the castle can be boring work and that might make you rush towards the enemy disregarding it. Do not do this, keep an eye on enemy movements and watch out for teams that are trying to sneak their way into your castle. Your goal is to defend it so go defend it!

Build Defenses Alone

Since you’re at the back line you won’t get that much valor when the enemy is not actively besieging your castle. That means the best way to get it is through building defenses because they give you valor when doing so. The reason why you should go build it alone though is that you get more points that way.

Defend The Core!

This might sound like a no-brainer but when you’re playing in a squad of Castle Guards, most of your objectives are not letting the core get damaged for a set amount of time.

That means that if a single point of damage hits the core, you can say goodbye to that objective, so make sure to defend the core and not let anyone touch it!

Use all of your Advantages!

When defending a castle from an attack don’t just go and jump down to defend it. You have your walls there for a reason, to give you a height advantage. Use it and go snipe at enemies and try to destroy the ladders that get to your wall.

If you all die there might not be enough time for the rest of your team to go there and help out, so keep your cool and defend those walls.

Congratulations you now know how to play as Castle Guards in Warlander, now go out there and defend those walls!
