When you are losing your match in Valorant, it may be a good idea to do an Eco Round. So what exactly is an Eco Round? This guide will show what Eco Rounds in Valorant are and how you can win them.
Eco Rounds Guide – Valorant
Eco Rounds in Valorant are rounds where you only use cheap weapons like Pistols so you can save up for better weapons on the next round. This will put you at a great disadvantage, but even if you lose the round, you would not lose a lot of value.
However, if you do win the round, it can be a great way to come back from a losing match. One of the most important rules in winning in Valorant Eco Rounds is to avoid long-range battles because you will almost always lose unless you invest in a Marshall.
Strategy
So what is the strategy for winning Eco Rounds and making the most out of it? For example, you can buy a shorty and hold small angles or corners as shown in the photo above. This is a great technique called camping, and it is great for use if you are on the defending side.
You can also do this on the attacking side if most of your teammates died and the team rushes in to find you. Another trick you can use is Pushing, which is a technique you can use on the Defending side.
You can push and get behind the enemy to defeat them. For the attacking side, you need to wait for your team to push on the other side and when you hear the enemy team responding, go behind them.
Team Strategy
For Team Strategies, what you want to do is for your other team member to hold the same angle as you, but in a different position. For example, as shown in the photo above, if you are holding the position by the crates and get a kill, the enemy team will focus on you.
Your team member, who is on the other side near you, can respond by defeating the enemies who are focused on you. For the defending side, you can also stack up with your team on one side instead of spreading out and fighting 1v1s.
Abilities
If you can, save Jett, Chamber, and Neon’s ultimate for Eco Rounds. These ultimates can substitute for your gun. If you are Raze, you can purchase 2 satchels and a bucky for an Eco Round. Use your smokes as Omen as well. Aim for aggressive plays when doing Eco Rounds.
Make sure you do not over-save money as well when doing the Eco Rounds.
