Japanese Role-Playing Game mechanics can get pretty wild out there. Sometimes games that look simple on paper like turn-based RPGs can actually become quite complex. Disgaea is a great example of them building and building upon turn-based RPG mechanics to make their own brand stand out of the rest. In Xenoblade Chronicles 3 they also spice things up by adding different mechanics, combos and specials to keep the player engaged to the somewhat simple battle system base. In this guide we’ll show you how to do Ouroboros Orders in Chain Attacks in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 so that hopefully it won’t get confusing.

How To Do Ouroboros Orders In Chain Attacks | Xenoblade Chronicles 3

First off, what do we need to actually do chain attacks and transform into Ouroboros? Well, you need to get to Interlink Level 3, you can see what level you are on the lower left corner of the UI when you’re in fights.

To increase your Interlink level you need to do fusion arts, which is basically using abilities that are charged in both sides at the same time.

The more you use fusion arts the more you increase your Interlink level. Once you get to level 3 you can start a chain attack.

Once you chain attack you need to choose the proper character pairs to actually chain to an ouroboros attack. They don’t need to be directly chosen one after the other, as long as the correct pair is in the chain attack you can then choose to do an Ouroboros attack.

In this example, Lanz and Sena were in the same chain order and thus they could do the Demon Punisher Ouroboros chain attack.

Now you know how to do an Ouroboros Chain attack, now go out there and try it yourself!
