During your first few hours of playing The First Descendant you only get a handful of characters to play around with – none of them stand out that much but that’s to be expected. The prettier pop idols will have to wait until later if you really need them for their skills, like Jayber.
Crafting Jayber can be done within a few hours as long as you follow along with the guide and have the right research materials. Keep on reading to find out what you need to do to unlock him along with the others!

How to Unlock Jayber
You need to unlock each character first if you ever want to use them. Magister Anais can help you with this by talking to her in the social space nearby.
Most characters will have the same method of unlocking them, with a few exceptions here and there when it comes to some of the materials required.
Here’s what you need to do in order to unlock Jayber:
- Speak to Magister Anais and choose Research Request.
- Go to the Descendant Tab.
- Choose the Descendant of your choice (Jayber).
- Farm the materials/components needed.
- Start the research request once you have all the materials.

Detailed Walkthrough
Most of your characters can be unlocked by talking to Magister Anais. Go to her and choose Research Requests. Choosing this option will take you to the research screen, do that and continue further by choosing Descendants.
While you’re in the descendants tab, look around for Jayber. Select the character and you will be taken to another section that shows all the research materials you need. You can get the materials by doing different activities while playing the game.
If you don’t have a specific material on hand just hover over it. Hovering over the material will show you what activities are needed in order for you to farm them.
If grinding for hours isn’t your thing you can always buy the materials instead. You can do that by talking to Anais again and going to the Descendant Material Shop. Here’s what you’ll need for Jayber:
- 1x Jayber Enhanced Cells
- 1x Jayber Stabilizer
- 1x Jayber Spiral Catalyst
- 1x Jayber Code
Get all the materials needed and talk to Anais again to begin research. Just go to research request once more to get started. Just like buying the materials, you can buy time as well to shorten the research if you want to get Jayber instantly.
