Mastery Rank & Weapon Proficiency Explained | Everything You Need To Know
I’ll separate the guide into two parts, with each one explaining Mastery Rank and Weapon Proficiency. Of course, they are important for your character’s progression. So, without further ado, let’s get right into it!
Mastery Rank
First off, let’s figure out how to check your Mastery Rank. If you open your character sheet and look just below your character’s level, you’ll spot your Mastery Rank.
Now, what exactly does your Mastery Rank do for you? Well, every time you level up your Mastery Rank, you’ll gain increased equipment inventory storage capacity, as well as more descendant and weapon module slots.
Periodically, as you progress, you’ll unlock additional descendant module slots, allowing you to equip more mods to enhance your character.
These slots are important for maximizing your power, fine-tuning your builds, and boosting your damage and defense.
So, how do you actually level up your Mastery Rank? Once you accumulate enough XP, you’ll receive a prompt on the screen telling you that a “Mastery Rank Up is available.”
When that happens, return to Albion. In order to reach him, you have to first take a left at this circular intersection.
Then from here, turn right and you’ll see this dark passageway. Head left and go inside.
Here, you’ll see the Prime Hands. Simply interact with it to proceed.
Click the Mastery Rank Up option, and you’ll successfully level up your Mastery.
Weapon Efficiency
Now, let’s talk about Weapon Proficiency. From the testing and discussions of players in the community, Weapon Mastery primarily grants you Mastery Rank XP.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t directly improve your weapon’s stats or damage output, which can be a bit disappointing.
However, accumulating this XP is essential for leveling up your character’s Mastery Rank and unlocking more mods for your weapons.
It’s worth noting that to reach Mastery Rank level 40, you’ll need to work on increasing your weapon proficiency for every weapon in the game. So, start grinding and using different weapons to earn that EXP.
