There are a lot of runes in WoW Classic that’ll strengthen your playstyle, but the Human Mage Burnout Rune is a particular favorite among players.
It has great stats, but getting it requires you to find a specific enemy at a specific location. We’ll show you where and how to get it.
Human Mage Burnout Rune Location
The Burnout Rune for Human Mage is a drop from a special Frozen Murloc. You can find this Murloc to the east of Stone Cairn Lake inside the Elwynn Forest. You should see this frozen object easily as it’s bright, contrasting the dark forest background.
Use fire spell to melt the Frozen Murloc and once you kill the Murloc, you should get your drop!
It does take a while to melt the Frozen Murloc and you might be just burning through your mana multiple times trying to do it. It’s definitely easier if there’s someone willing to help with melting the ice.
The Burnout Rune can be engraved to the chest and gives the following stat: Increases your spell critical strike chance with all spells by 15%, but your non-periodic spell critical strikes now have an additional mana cost of 1% of your base mana.
