Are you ready to reach insane numebrs in Anime World Tower Defense?

Yes, he is actually hitting this hard.

You’ve probably already heart about how Roblox has pretty much outdone every single platform when it comes to free gaming. Anyone interested in the best free games on the market — especially when it comes to Tower Defense — would do well to check Roblox for everything they need. Specifically, Anime World Tower Defense is one of the best, bar none. That being said, this is all about the New SR++ Gon New Meta Leaderboard Unit Guide.

New SR++ Gon New Meta Leaderboard Unit Guide

Now, I know that’s quite that mouthful, but why exactly are we talking about the SR++ Gon as this crazy shift in the current meta? There are plenty of different reasons, and one of the best ways to showcase this unit would be through the Infinite mode.

Endless Mode in Anime World Tower Defense
This is where you’ll want to run Gon!

Sure, Training mode is all well and good when it comes to showcasing various units and what they can do, but it’s all about meeting Gon’s incredible requirements.

What are these requirements?

One of the things that Gon needs to ramp up in the game is a lot of time. Before that, let’s have a look at his general kit:

A pretty busted kit, if you ask me.

You’ll likely already see something very interesting there that is the reason why Gon is so devastating in the meta. It’s also the reason why we’re going with Infinite mode as the ideal mode to test his power.

SIDE NOTE: Want to get more progress in the game? Here’s how you can handily beat Floor 50 Abyss!

We are, of course, talking about Rage. It’s a rather simple category skill — any unit with the Rage category will receive an attack buff at the end of every wave. In the case of Gon, he receives a massive 90k attack at the end of each wave.

Rage is pretty much the bane of Endless.

There’s no denying that many kits in the game are a little convoluted and difficult to follow, but Gon can be pretty simple. The only caveat is that he needs time to start showing incredible numbers.

Aside from this, it’s also important to note that Gon is an AoE unit. That means his placement in the map is anywhere with plenty of corners. This will help you maximize his usage. You will also want to focus on boosting his range.

Understanding Gon’s best partners

Anime World Tower Defense isn’t just about getting a single OP unit and shredding the entire game with it. Like most games that are worth playing, you’ll need different units that can play off of each other. That way, Gon can realize his full potential.

The interesting thing is while it does take Gon quite some time to become extremely strong, most players don’t mind. Having a unit that’s far too busted in the game can mess with balance, which we’ll get to in a moment with one of his partners. Aside from that, you’ll also want to have a look at the very best units as of update 14!

As far as his ideal partners go, you have the following:

Leader (Mastermind)

Isn’t it interesting that the unit named Leader is actually the very best leader unit for a team with Gon? The thing about Leader is that anyone within the right category (in this case, Youth) receives a -20% to cost.

I don’t think I need to explain why this is so important, but when you look at Gon’s kit, you’ll see that his cost is a steep 4400. Considering that you start with 5000 to use in Endless, the only unit you can summon is Gon, technically.

Of course, you’ll want to be smart with your Abyss Tokens. Here are some units you might want to get!

Thanks to Leader’s skill, now Gon is at 3520. That is absolutely huge, and everyone else in the party (at least those affected by the skill) will receive the same bonus. The earlier you get your units in, the sooner you’ll get to level them up. Not to mention — the cost to upgrade them also goes down.

Team cost in Anime World Tower Defense
Team cost is a priority in any tower defense game.

You notice how everyone’s cost is suddenly quite low? When it comes to games such as Anime World Tower Defense, every little bit counts. Mind you, this isn’t the only thing that Leader can do, as he can add various bonuses based on his level. This is the reason why you should always look into the best categories in the game.

Killua

For those who are familiar with Hunter X Hunter, Killua is pretty much the go-to partner of Gon. As such, I find it quite fitting that Anime World Tower Defense make this unit one of the best partners for SR++ Gon.

While I won’t necessarily go into specifics (because this is all about Gon’s place in the meta), know that this unit is extremely busted. The fact that he also counts for the category skill of Leader means you can have Killua in your team for 1700.

This unit is straightforward like Gon, only he deletes units much quicker in the early game. Killua is strong right away, almost a little too strong. It’s the reason why Anime World Tower Defense devs are very likely to nerf Killua in the coming weeks. Yup, sometimes you just get that strong.

Anybody Else in the Meta

This is pretty much how good Leader, Gon, and Killua are. For the last three members of the team, they can be anyone from the meta that you feel like adding. Naruto is pretty busted, and Denis would work well in this team as well.

Of course, you’ll have to make sure that they work with the category skill of Leader. Here’s a quick guide on UR+ Minato if you’re looking for units to add!

An Early Powerhouse, and Late-Game Monster

Gon a few waves in Endless, Anime World Tower Defense
Already looking impressive.

First off, let’s have a look at Gon in this current wave (this is wave 27). You notice how he’s already pretty powerful? The thing is, Gon’s passive is still currently going through an attack bulk phase. That means the unit is gaining attack as the game goes on.

Nope, this is Rage just yet. You’ll need to wait a little bit before it kicks in. You play just a little bit more, and then you see this:

Gon in wave 45 in Anime World Tower Defense
Wait just a moment…

You’re probably very confused, because this guy’s damage just went through the roof. That’s what, 14.04m worth of damage? He’s been maxed out, and I buffed his range at the beginning. Gon might be a pretty terrifying unit, but his range isn’t great at the start.

Still, that’s surprising right? Well, his Rage just kicked in. Do you want me to go through a few move waves just to show you what might happen?

Gon in wave 114 in Anime World Tower Defense
AM I SEEING THIS RIGHT?

Yup, you’re seeing this right. This is at wave 114, by the way. Well, you probably already saw this because this is pretty much what I’m using above, just a little more zoomed in. Gon has already started to out-damage Killua at this point.

Yeah, there’s a reason why Killua is going to get nerfed, but do you see just how ridiculous Gon can get? He is beyond monstrous in this game. I would love to talk about numbers here, but I believe that Gon has just hit 155.21 BILLION in accumulated damage numbers.

Final Thoughts

Without a doubt, Gon is one of the best units in the meta, but he can’t do the job alone. Even as a unit that ramps up forever, you’ll still want to hold down the fort with other units. When Killua is eventually, nerfed, you’ll soon see Gon taking the top spot in this team — if not the whole game.

As far as the overall value of these units are concerned, I would place Killua and Gon at about equal value. You will need them both if you’re going to realize Gon’s full potential, and of course, you’ll need Leader (Mastermind).

That’s the New SR++ Gon New Meta Leaderboard Unit Guide! Happy defending! Hey, while you’re here: Why not have a look at another busted unit? Here’s a guide on UR+ Deidara!
