The island in Dinkum is fairly large, and sometimes it takes time to gather resources when you have to go to certain parts of the island to do so. Not everyone can afford a motorbike or helicopter, nor do they have the disks to unlock them. The next best thing to go around the island is either the boat or the glider. In this guide, I’ll show you where to find and get glider!
Where To Find & Get Glider In Dinkum
First, you need a few things one of which is a Deep Mining License. You see, the Glider is a random item you can find in the chests. It’s a very rare item and we’ll need to go do some digging in the deep mines to do that. Of course, you also need the mine itself, so make one as well with a deed.
Now that the easy part is over, here comes the hard part. Yes, leveling your mining by hitting rocks repeatedly for days and having enough points to unlock the license was the easy part. Now you need to go through the mines, a few things I suggest you bring, a torch, a good pickaxe, some bombs if you can, and a good weapon. This won’t be a walk in the park since there are glowing crocodiles and bats down there! Oh right, I hope you’ve been saving up those old keys, because you need at least two just to open one chest!
While going through the mines you should keep an eye on your mini-map for anything that’s the color gray. That means you’ve found yourself a key room, and usually the entrance is blocked off by rocks so start digging! Each room has two doors and you need two old keys to open them.
Now comes the repetition. You might get the glider on your first few tries, maybe you won’t. I’ve opened at least 30+ chests before even finding this thing and that was just painful! Between fighting annoying bats and running away from glowing lizards, there was also the low chance of getting the item in the first place that kept kicking me while I was down there.
But I’ve found it, and so can you, with enough willpower, time and keys you’ll eventually find one!
Now that you’ve found one, you can now glide around the island without any trouble! All you need is a high enough hill, or you could just make a jumping off point near the town like what I did!
