The First Descendant: Where To Find All Blueprints for Divine Punishment

Its Arcane power is not yet fully understood even by the Magisters.

The First Descendant gives you access to a range of unique weapons that you can craft and use in missions. One such weapon that many players have been trying to get is the Divine Punishment. However, acquiring it can be quite a pain and confusing too.

This is because acquiring each of the blueprints for the Divine Punishment will require a series of different steps. In this guide, we’ll show you how you can fulfill these steps in the most simplest way possible. Let’s get into it!

Where To Find All Blueprints for Divine Punishment

Locating the Blueprints for the Divine Punishment weapon is part of a mission that you’ll acquire in The First Descendant. The Divine Punishment Research Request mission will ask you to research this legendary weapon.

To do this, you’ll first need to head to the Research Institute by talking to the Anais NPC. Here, you’ll be able to find the Divine Punishment in the Weapon section of the menu.

To be able to research the Divine Punishment, you’ll need to get Blueprints for each of the following Research Materials in The First Descendant:

  • Divine Punishment Polymer Syncytium
    • Obtained when you get the Divine Punishment Research Request mission
  • Divine Punishment Synthetic Fiber Blueprint
    • Obtained by opening Amorphous Material Pattern: 010
  • Divine Punishment Nano Tube Blueprint
    • Obtained by opening Amorphous Material Pattern: 022
  • Divine Punishment Blueprint
    • Obtained by opening Amorphous Material Pattern: 014.

So, your goal will be to get all of these different Material Patterns. Once you have them, you’ll also need to open them to actually get the Blueprint. This will be different for each specific Blueprint, so we’ll go through each of them.

After you have the Blueprints, you’ll be able to craft the Research Materials with some additional materials that you can easily get by just playing the game.

Keep in mind that most of the requirements for this weapon will depend on your luck and require a lot of grinding. So, you are not always guaranteed to get the necessary materials and may have to run some missions as long as necessary.

Divine Punishment Synthetic Fiber Blueprint Unlock

Starting off, we’ll be unlocking the Divine Punishment Synthetic Fiber Blueprint to get the legendary weapon. You can do this by first getting the Amorphous Material Pattern: 010.

So, for this one, you’ll be going to the Sterile Land area of The First Descendant. Here, you’ll be running the Unknown Laboratory mission. Luckily, you can get the Amorphous Material Pattern 010 as a 100% chance to drop.

So, you will need to do this mission only once.

After you get it, you’ll need to face an Arena Boss. You can access the Arena Boss menu by selecting the Void Intercept Battle option in the map menu. Alternatively, you can talk to the Seneca NPC.

In the menu, select the Stunning Beauty boss to start the Arena fight. Beat the boss fight and you’ll get a chest or a little box at the end. Use it to open the Amorphous Material Pattern 010.

There is a 38% chance for you to get the Divine Punishment Synthetic Fiber blueprint when you open the pattern. If you do not get it, you’ll need to repeat the steps mentioned above.

Next, we’ll be looking at how you can get the Divine Punishment Synthetic Fiber Blueprint. You can obtain it through the Amorphous Material Pattern: 022

To get it, you’ll need to head to the Echo Swamp area in the game. Over here, you want to do the Seed Vault mission. As before, you can get the Amorphous Material Pattern 022 as a 100% chance to drop.

So you’ll only need to do this mission one time.

You can also get some materials here that you need to unlock Sharon for free in the First Descendant.

Same as before, you’ll want to go in the Void Intercept Battle menu. Here, you’ll need to select the Dead Bride boss and start the fight. After defeating her, you’ll be able to open the pattern that you got.

Unfortunately, the Divine Punishment Nano Tube Blueprint only has a 15% chance to drop after opening the pattern. So, it’s even lower than the previous one. Again, you’ll have to repeat all the steps again until you have it.

Divine Punishment Blueprint Unlock

The blueprint for the Divine Punishment itself is a lot more different and complicated to obtain. Unlike the other blueprints, the Amorphous Pattern for this blueprint is obtained through a world mission. You’ll be trying to get the Amorphous Material Pattern 014 for this one.

This is the Vulgus Strategic Outpost recon mission and it can be found in the Vespers area of The First Descendant. Here you’ll be able to get the Amorphous Material Pattern 014. It has a 20% chance to drop, unlike the previous patterns.

This mission is very short however, but unfortunately, has a 5 minute cooldown. So we suggest you do the next mission meanwhile for the blueprint while you wait for the cooldown. After that, you can do both missions one by one for the most efficient method.

The next step will be to unlock the Void Fusion Reactor – Vesper Lost Supply Depot. You can find it to the far north of the same zone. Unlocking it will allow you to open the Amorphous Material Pattern 014 once you get it.

However, to unlock this Void Fusion Reactor, you’ll need some materials. Here are the following items you’ll need to unlock the reactor in The First Descendant:

  • x12 Polymer Void Shard
  • x3 Organic Void Shard.

To obtain these items, you’ll need to do the Void Fragment mission. You can find it right above the Vulgus Strategic Outpost mission. This mission has a 100% chance to give you x4 Polymer Void Shards and x1 Organic Void Shard.

So, you’ll need to do this mission a total of 3 times to get all the materials you need to unlock the Void Fusion Reactor mission. Complete the mission and defeat the boss at the end. After you do so, there will be a small circular box that will drop.

You can use this to open the Amorphous Material Pattern 014. Make sure to not ignore this box or you will not be able to use it once you leave the mission.

Opening the pattern has a 15% chance to drop the Divine Punishment Blueprint. If you do not get it, you will, unfortunately, have to repeat all the steps all over again… This is why it has taken some people around 24 hours to get the Divine Punishment weapon!

Crafting Divine Punishment

Now that you have all the Divine Punishment blueprints, you’re nearly done with crafting the weapon. All you need to do is fulfill the material requirements for each of the blueprints so that you can get the Research Materials.

These materials are easy to get as you can find them all over the map by running around and destroying boxes. You can also go click on each material so that you can access the Acquisition Info menu.

Here, you’ll be able to see exactly where you can get the material you need on the map. After you get all the materials, you’ll be able to craft the legendary Divine Punishment! Just make sure you also have 100,000 Gold, after which you’ll need to wait for 4 hours of research to get.

That’s everything you need to know about where you can find all the blueprints for the Divine Punishment Weapon in the First Descendant. It is possibly one of the most annoying items you can obtain in the game.

If you’re trying to unlock Valby for free, you’ll need some specific materials. The most difficult to get of these is Murky Energy Residue. Check out our How To Get Murky Energy Residue Guide so you can see exactly where and how you can find it!
