Lethal Company has just had its new update in the form of Version 60. As part of the update, players can now access a new interior, the Mineshaft. It will appear on specific maps alongside the new added creature.

Curious to know about everything added to this interior? We’ve got you covered! In this guide, we’ll show you everything you need to expect in the new interior. In this way, you’ll be better prepared for what new dangers lie ahead. Without further delay, let’s get into it!

Mineshaft Complete Guide

Mineshaft is the first new interior that has been added to Lethal Company since launch. The other two interiors that you’ll be familiar with at this point are the Facility and Mansion.

We’ll discuss the features and strategies that you can employ in this new interior.

Entering The Mineshaft

The Mineshaft is an interior that will only appear on certain moons. According to the V60 Patch Notes, the mineshaft will primarily appear on the following moons in Lethal Company:

  • Offense
  • Vow
  • Dine
  • Artifice.

We are not yet sure about the chances for the interior to appear. But, so far, many players have said that they’ve come across it quite a lot!

You will immediately be able to recognize the mineshaft when you enter through the main door. You’ll come across an elevator shaft the moment you enter.

This elevator will take you down to the main mineshaft area. Keep in mind that you will not find the elevator if you use the emergency exit.

However, do not ignore the initial elevator room. You can find some loot here if you just quickly look around.

After that, you can use the button in the elevator so that it will lead you down into the depths of the mineshaft!

Mineshaft Features

The mineshaft has visibly two distinct areas in Lethal Company. Both of these areas will have the same monsters that can appear in the facility and mansion areas. This includes the new Maneater monster as well.

These areas will also have loot inside them.

The first of these areas is a built out area which has open hallways and rooms that showcases the machinery and parts of this interior.

This built out area has unique yellow doors that will only open one way. You can use this unique feature to actually escape some monsters and save yourself!

The second type of area in the mineshaft are the claustrophobic caves. You can access these caves by opening select yellow doors. These are doors that have a blue light above them.

The caves are incredibly unpredictable and dangerous. This is because they all look the same and loop around a lot, like a maze. So, it is incredibly easy to get lost inside them if you are not careful.

There are also holes that can appear randomly at the bottom of the caves. If you are not careful you can easily fall into them and die. They are quite hard to see too, so make sure you are always watching your step.

However, the monsters can also appear in the mineshaft so be wary of that. We recommend that you try to stay close to the cave entrance if you do go inside, as there can be a lot of loot inside. You can also use landmarks to remember the path you took inside the caves.

Or, at the very least, try to have a friend near the entrance.

Another dangerous feature of the caves are water puddles. They may seem like dead ends, but they actually have paths inside them too if you dive in.

By navigating through these paths, you can arrive at a completely different cave spot in Lethal Company. However, do not think that you are safe from monsters inside the water puddles.

Even if you go deep inside them, most monsters can still navigate through water puddles and harm you.

It is also possible to get stuck on rocks and drown if you stay underwater too long!

Strategies

Although the mineshaft may vary aesthetically, the strategies that you normally use with Lethal Company can work here as well.

This is because the mineshaft still has some similar features to the facility and mansion. For example, the main area after you go down the elevator will still divide into three paths.

You will also still face the same monsters and collect the same loot. The only real difference is the caves that have a very random and organic structure, as opposed to the organized structure you’re used to with the other interiors.

You may think that the cave is only dangerous, but you can actually use it to your benefit. Because the cave has such a windy design, you can actually run into the caves when you’re being chased by a monster.

You can then run around all the corners to lose sight of monsters and even break their aggro state on you. Some monsters that we’ve seen this work on are Thumpers and Nutcrackers.

That’s everything you need to know for the complete mineshaft guide in Lethal Company. This new interior as part of the V60 update is a much needed change to the game. It will help add variety, but be sure to be careful when you’re playing it.

There is also a new monster in the form of the Maneater that you’ll need to be cautious of. Be sure to check out our how to deal with new maneater guide or alternatively, our complete everything you need to know about the v60 update article!
