Porygon is a unique pokemon that is made out of programming code. Porygon is a normal-type pokemon and requires a different method of evolving. This guide will show you how to get and evolve Porygon in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
How to get Porygon
Before you can catch a Porygon, you need the National Dex and the Poke Radar. Talk to the Professor in Sandgem town. You can do this after finishing the Pokemon League and after registering 150 Pokemon in the Sinnoh Pokedex.
After getting the National Dex and Poke Radar, go to the Mansion on Route 212. Talk to the owner here every day until he tells you that there is a Porygon in the garden. Go to the garden and catch the Porygon.
How to Evolve Porygon
If you want to Evolve Porygon, you are going to need the upgrade item given by the Professor in Eterna city. You have to visit Ramanas Park first on Route 221 before you can get the upgrade item. Give the upgrade item to Porygon to evolve it into Porygon2.
Go to Route 225 and surf through the waters until you get to the very end of the route. You will find the Dubious Disk here which will evolve your Porygon2 into PorygonZ!
