Honkai: Star Rail – The Past Will Return as an Avalanche Guide

Honkai: Star Rail newest update has added Seele into a roster of NPCs and playable that you can meet in game and be involved in the main storyline. ‘The Past Will Return as an Avalanche’ is a Trailblaze Mission that involves Seele, part of the In The Withering Wintry Night chapter. Follow this walkthrough to earn 700 Trailblaze EXP, 80 Stellar Jade, 6 Adventure Logs, 3 Condensed Aether, and Ghost From the Past’s disk.

You start from Boulder Town of Belobog. Once the quest starts, the quest marker will direct you to Rivet Town. Upon reaching the town, there will be a short cutscene that shows you around the town and a series of dialogue continues between you, Bronya, and Seele.

After discussing, you start looking for supplies at the market square and will encounter some enemies on the way, typically the Frostspawns and Imaginary Wavers that you’ve met before on the planet. So make sure to have your main character as they’ll have the attribute necessary to make these fights easy.

When you reach the quest marker, it’ll tell you that you need to find the supplies elsewhere because the boxes are empty. So continue walking and follow the marker. When you do, you’ll bump into little Eric who totally wasn’t getting lost and need no help from the adults to get back home. He attempted a move to negotiate with you, but fortunately Seele was there. You’re not that stupid, right?

Anyways, you told the little boy to move along after giving him some moral lessons on how stealing is bad because the supplies you direly need so your entire squadron don’t die was apparently stolen by the boy who has a daddy. After Bronya gave him a little something, you should have Box of Metal Plates and Bandages in your inventory now.

Continue running through the Fragmentums infested streets until you reach the orphanage. But unfortunately, again, the supply crates are empty and coincidentally, you’re ambushed by a big one. This mini-boss is called Ice Out of Space and its weakness is lightning, pyro, and wind.

Tips: Don’t miss out collecting the books that are located within the orphanage area!

You can investigate the crates at the front first for that extra moment between Seele and Bronya before investigating the one at the back. A major plot reveal on Bronya’s past happens when you interact with it as it’ll show an item from her childhood times. You can still interact with the other crate after this because Seele and Bronya will be standing there as they reminisce their old times and try to find the missing pieces in Bronya’s memories.

Continue running down the stairs to the southwest where you’ll meet Clara and her guardbot. A dialogue sequence will happen between you two that reveals she’s the culprit behind the missing supplies. You ask for them before Seele and Bronya catches up to you. All four of you talk so you can be on the same page.

It is going to feel like 3 adults bullying a girl and her robot friend, but she made quite a great stand against the accusations.

At the end of the dialogue sequence, you should have a Box of Special Painkillers with you. Then talk to Seele to end the mission and then gain the Ghost From the Past disk. With this, you’ve finished ‘The Past Will Return as an Avalanche’ trailblaze mission and immediately prompt the start of the next missions, ‘Lying in Rust.’
