Honkai: Star Rail - Chad Norris Hidden Achievement Guide

The fact that there are so many achievemetns in Honkai: Star Rail means that you’ll never run out of things you can do to get free Stellar Jades. But many of them are hidden achievements, meaning you don’t know what you’re missing out until you get them.

Now, we’re going to talk about yet another battle-related hidden achievement, the Chad Norris achievement. Here’s how you can get it.

Chad Norris Hidden Achievement

You need to kill the Guardian Shadow in a certain way to achieve the Chad Norris hidden achievement. Make sure not to confuse the Decaying Shadow with the Guardian Shadow for this achievement.

The achievement description goes: Defeat the Guardian Shadow without enraging it.

You can find a Guardian Shadow in the Forgotten Hall on Memory Stage 10. There’s going to the Guardian Shadow boss here at level 54. But if you find this one too hard, there’s an easier option in Corridor of Fading Echoes, the Stagnant Shadow Shape of Fulmination. You can adjust to the lowest level which is level 40.

The achievement refers to the “punishment” that the Guardian Shadow launches when you do a certain action after she casts Tranquil Ban. But it’s possible that a guardian won’t use that mode in an entire gameplay fight and if this happens, it doesn’t count.

There are three types of Tranquil Ban the Guardian Shadow uses: Basic ATK, Skill, and attacking the Guardian Shadow. Only one type can exists at anytime.

In case you weren’t paying attention which one you get because you’re 2x speed in the battle, just look at this icon. If there’s a red circle symbol on the action, that means she will punish you if do that action. If there’s a red symbol on the Guardian Shadow when you pick her as the target, she will launch her punishment when you attack her.

The Tranquil ban only lasts for a round and the red circle icon is no more. You can also prematurely remove the ban by breaking her shield. And when you see the icon gone like below, you’ll be able to continue fighting as normal.

Remember, however, you cannot get the achievement if she never uses the Tranquil Ban skill. There are times when the Guardian Shadow will instead use their other skills so it’s sometimes about RNG.
