HSR how to get an island unto oneself hidden achievement

When you’re still starting out in Honkai: Star Rail, you’re probably still missing out on achievements. Especially the ones that are hidden, which might need extra effort to get. And we’ll discuss one of such achievements, which is the ‘An Island Unto Oneself’ achievement.

This is a hidden achievement, exclusive to the Simulated Universe under the Universe in a Nutshell category and gives you 10 Stellar Jades. Keep reading to know how to get it!

An Island Unto Oneself Hidden Achievement Guide

As mentioned before, this achievement is exclusive to Simulated Universe. It is achieved by getting 6 or less Blessings while clearing Simulated Universe at Difficulty II in any World. To be frank, it can be kind of crazy how hard it is to get this achievement, depending on your luck. Not to mention how it means you probably won’t be able to get the Path of Resonance with this.

If you’re over-leved for the World you’re running, you’re most probably going to be find just brute forcing it. But if you’re not, keep reading.

Starting Out

You can pick any World you want, but for the easiest run where you can just brute force your way, World 3 at Difficulty II is the easiest.

Now, pick any path that you want for the passive bonus. Remember that you cannot pick more than 2 blessings of the same path while playing Simulated Universe. That is because if you get three blessings that grants you the Path of Resonance blessing, that counts towards the achievement.

Pick whichever you want depending on your team composition. Remember to make a mental note to not pick more than 2 blessings of that path. You can check your blessings on the interface by clicking ‘Check obtained Blessings’ on the upper right corner.

Now, starting out, you’re going to be given the choice to pick either 150 Cosmic Fragments, One Blessing, and One Curio. Remember, you still want to win this watch, but with only 6 blessings, so start off with the Curio or 150 Cosmic Fragments. You may understand the Curio, but why the fragments?

That’s because there’s the Robe of The Beauty Curio that can boost your attack by 16% per 100 Cosmic Fragments you have. There are also Curios that will make it easy to gather Cosmic Fragments throughout the levels that synergizes with this Curio. Additionally, you can boost your existing Blessings later or buy more Curios.

But in the end, it’s RNG-based because getting the Curio first would be your main concern. So choosing the Curio first is easier to determine what kind of playstyle you’ll have in this run.

Avoiding Fights & Domain Picking

You want to avoid as many fights as possible because each round of fight gives you a blessing. You also can’t afford retreating from them, so you have to do your best running away from them. But in some levels, there’s always one round of mob defending the doors to the next level. That one you cannot avoid.

Never pick the combat domain and always pick the Event/Occurence Domain. And whenever you get an event that asks you pick between getting a Blessing or anything else on the table, pick anything but the Blessing. Also, avoid fighting option because you’ll get a Blessing when you finish the fight.

Rarely enough, there are events where you can discard blessings for higher rarity ones, increasing your winning chances.

You also want to always get the destructible objects whenever possible for the Cosmic Fragments.

There’s also no need to claim the Planar Ornaments if you don’t need them.

Enhance Your Strongest Blessings

Your playstyle is going to differ depending on your team comp. I’m balancing out my DEF with focusing my damage on follow-up attacks for my Jing Yuan. I rely on my Preservation MC for tankin, for example. If you’re doing this when Luocha drops or Bailu, perhaps you’ll find Abundance blessings the better choice.

The most challenging thing about this is avoiding the fights and getting good RNGs. The space can be really tight to run around and if you get ambushed by small mobs, you have no other way but to reset the run again.

Good luck!
