Tank characters are often needed in any RPG team. There are some games where there can be some exception or some sort of different way of tanking like dodge tanks or heal tanks. Whatever the case may be, tanks are there to take the heat off the party and make sure that the squishier members don’t get squished. They can do this through their armor or just the sheer amount of HP they have, like Paladins or Barbarians in Dungeons and Dragons. In Across the Obelisk though, one tank can do much more, and we’ll show you how. In this Bree guide, we’ll show you one of the characters that can be a great tank.
Bree Guide For Across The Obelisk
Across the Obelisk is a turn-based Party RPG where you build decks of cards that you can then use in battle. These decks differ from character to character and there are a lot of different characters in the game. Most characters fall into some sort of role, like healers, ranks, or damage dealers.
How to Unlock Bree
Bree is a Tank character that focuses on stacking thorns as well as having the ability to buff allies. To unlock Bree, you’ll need to first finish Act 1. After doing so you should go to the blue portal and navigate all the way to the grove at the top of the map.
In there you’ll have to accept the quest and finish the act. Then after that you need to progress through Act 3, finish it, and get to Act 4.
Once you’re at this point at Act 4, go to the Garden at the top and select the [Dig] option. Doing this will finish the quest and unlock Bree.
Playstyle and Builds
Bree is a tank, but she also has the ability to get Thorns stacks. When a character has Thorns stacks, every time someone attacks them, they get damage equal to the number of thorns. In fact, her Innate Trait called Spiky makes her start combat with 5 thorn stacks already!
As for Perks you should focus on placing perks in General to increase Bree’s tank abilities like extra HP and armor as well as some extra energy. An important perk to get is the talent for thorns to not disappear when hit which is in the Physical tab. Increasing Crack damage as well is great.
As for Cards these are some important cards to add to your Deck:
- Barbed Wire
- Guard
- Helping Hand
- Repair Armor
As for items and pets, gear that increases HP and Resistance is always a plus. Items like the Veteran Armor or the Jade Ring as well as having either the Bunny or the Sharpy can be great for Bree.
