1. Upcoming Co-op multiplayer in the first update
Exciting news–the Co-op multiplayer is on the horizon with the next update! While it’s not available yet, the game is constantly evolving, and multiplayer is set to utilize the Realms system for shared adventures with your friends.
2. Getting Bounties & Challenges
Are you looking for a steady source of rewards and loot? Well, I have good news for you. As you play the game, you can find Captain Randolph in Sacrament who offers bounties and challenges to keep you busy. I recommend that you make sure to complete his tasks for gold, items, and other valuable rewards!
As mentioned above, there are Quests, Bounties & Challenges – which are divided into daily and weekly. What’s awesome is that you can have them active all at once, which lets you complete all of them in one go!
3. Using Map Markers to remember locked doors & other important things
Up next, exploration is key in this game, but with so much to uncover, it’s easy to lose track of your progress and location. That said, I recommend that you use map markers to remember important locations like locked doors or valuable loot spots. It’s a simple trick that can save you loads of time!
4. Fog & Respawned enemies
Also, don’t be surprised if previously explored areas become shrouded in fog upon revisiting. Not only that, but enemies respawn, which then offers fresh challenges and opportunities for EXP and resources.
5. Chest Loot is randomized & they respawn
Yep, Chest loot is randomized and respawns over time, so keep revisiting areas to replenish your supplies and discover new treasures. This goes hand-in-hand with Tip #4!

6. Showing Damage Numbers
Also, make sure to head to your settings and under the gameplay tab, go to the “Show Enemy Poise Bars” and toggle on “Show Damage Numbers” for real-time feedback on your attacks. Now, these tweaks can really enhance your combat experience and lets you gauge your attacks better, so you don’t end up wasting resources!
7. Learning to Parry often
Now, mastering the art of parrying can turn the tide of battle in your favor. Timing is everything, and a well-executed parry opens up valuable windows for counterattacks. It’s a skill worth honing early on.
On the controller, you can Parry by pressing the Left Trigger right before an enemy attack hits you, letting you counterstrike to your advantage. For keyboard, make sure to check your settings for the hotkey.
8. Learning new Food Recipes
Also, keep an eye out for food recipes scattered throughout your playthrough. The recipes can be learned from scrolls found in your inventory,
9. Repairing & Upgrading
As you progress the game, make sure that you visit Fillmore, the Blacksmith in Sacrament to repair and upgrade your gear. Why? It’s because upgrading weapons and armor can significantly boost your effectiveness in combat! You wouldn’t want to fight with a dull sword and a broken shield, right?
Now, to further explain upgrading, it basically increases the damage or durability of your equipment. However, you’ll be required to have certain requirements besides Gold. These are materials like Wolf Claw, Copper Ingot and more, which you can get by killing certain enemies in the game. Keep in mind that the requirements do become higher, the better your weapons get!

10. Enchanting Items (Increase rarity but with negatives)
Just in the upper left from Filmore’s location, you’ll see Eleanore nearby. She offers advanced gear customization such as enchanting items. However, keep in mind that enchanting items come at a price, which is that you get more bonuses/buffs & increased rarity, but you also get a debuff of some sort.
For more details, you can check out our dedicated guide about the Enchant, Rune & Fuse NPC location too!
11. Infusing gems into your gear
Alternatively, from Eleanore, you can also infuse gems into your gear at the cost of gold. This will let your equipment get different effects like bonus resistance, damage reflect and more! Keep in mind that you can only infuse a limited number of gems on certain equipment because of the slots mechanic.
12. Extracting or adding Rune attacks
Lastly, from Eleanor as well, we have extraction & addition of Rune attacks, which basically makes your equipment much stronger. Now, some weapons already have Runes attached to them when you pick them up.
Basically, the Runes are the spells/attacks that you can use when you use Focus (orange bar under your Health Bar), from buttons X, Y and more. If a rune has the “Extractable” labeled on it, that means you can extract it for future use, and then re-attach it to a different weapon of your choice.
Feel free to play around the Runes mechanic to build the best weapon to fit your playstyle!
