Blade Ball has just come out with a new update which brings some additional content to the game. The Death Slash and Titan Blade stand out as new abilities that players can now use in matches. Players already rely so much on abilities for their strategies to work.
This begs the question: What is the best way to use these abilities, so that users can get the most out of their investment? In this guide, we will answer that and more.
Complete Winter Update
There are some interesting additions with the new Winter Update to the game. Most notable, there are the new abilities in the form of the Death Slash and Titan Blade. However, you may also be interested in the new swords added to the game, which includes a blaster!
New Abilities Obtainment Method
Starting off, we have the Titan Blade ability. You can get this ability through the Gacha system by using Spins. So, if you’re interested in getting the Titan Blade ability, you will need to test out your luck.
The obtainment method for the Death Slash ability is a lot harder and complicated. For this ability, you will also need to use the Gacha System. However, there are three items that you will need to acquire as a requirement to get the Death Slash.
This includes the Titan Blade ability, alongside two other Ultra Rare items. If you plan on getting this item soon, then you may likely need to use your Robux. Here are the items required to get Death Slash Upgrade 1.
As you can see, there are a total of three Ultra Rare Items that you will need to spin for, just to get this ability. Later in the guide, we will jump into strategy, and you can decide if you feel the ability is worth all the hassle or not.
You can also get the Ice Dagger from the Battle Pass if you feel like the Gacha system is not worth it. After getting these items, you will need to spin for one additional item that is even harder to get for Upgrade 1 of this ability.
Here is an image that shows the requirements. It is likely that there are further Gacha items required for Upgrade 2.
If you’re wondering whether the additional Upgrades are worth getting, here is a screenshot that shows exactly what you get with each of them.
In essence, you are getting a larger ball with more speed. The final Upgrade also provides an additional cosmetic upgrade, which does not impact the ability itself.
New Abilities Strategies
So, how do these new Abilities do on the field and are they really worth the intense requirements?
Starting off, we have the Titan Ball ability. This ability gives you a giant golden sword that has a really large parry hitbox.
As a result, players can cover a large amount of area and also have more reaction time before parrying.
The best way to use this ability is during Clashes with other players. This is because Clashes often end with who has the better reaction time to deflect the ball against the opponents. With the Titan Blade ability, you can cover a larger amount of area and have more security in these Clashes.
In this way, you can come out on top of these matchups. Clashes tend to happen a lot towards the end of the match so you will be able to clutch the win out!
Next, we have the Death Slash Ability. The Death Slash ability works very similarly to Rupture except it is slightly stronger in certain aspects. Death Slash is actually really difficult to use as there is a very narrow time in which you can time it.
Additionally, there is also a small mini game that occurs every time you activate it, where you have to get the blue circle within the green circle at the right time. If you fail to do so, the ability is not as effective and the ball just travels normally.
However, if you do manage to line up the circle properly, the ball goes really fast. It can really catch some people off guard, especially at higher upgrades.
However, the requirements for this ability and its upgrades is really high for what you are getting. As for if it is worth it, we leave that up to you to decide.
New Swords
There are a bunch of new Swords that have also made an appearance to the game. We have already looked at the Winter themed ones that are a requirement if you want the Death Slash ability. However, you will see that the Sci fi swords added to the game have stolen the show.
You can actually obtain Blasters as a Sword. Something that has been seen for the first time in the game. You basically need to go through three stages of progression while spinning for Weapons in the Gacha system.
The first stage is the Twin Blade Sword shown below that you are guaranteed after 190 Spins.
Once you have the Twin Blade, you can start working towards the Blaster.
After that, we have Level 3 where you can obtain Dual Blasters as a Sword. These are really unique Swords that have previously never been seen in the game.
But like before, you will need to use the Gacha system which means either a lot of grinding or a lot of Robux!
New Map & Effects
A new map has been added to compliment all the Winter items that have been added to the game. This Winter map is covered in snow and even has a Snowman.
Perhaps it is the start of new things that we will see as we begin to approach the Holiday Season? Nonetheless, it is a very cozy map design that we’re sure will get you excited for Christmas!
Additionally, you can also get new effects inspired by Winter. These are cool explosions that play out after you get a kill during matches. There are a wide variety of differing Rarities that you can obtain during the Winter Update.
Keep in mind that you will need to Spin for these as well using the Gacha System. But who knows, you might get a really cool animation that will help you stand out during matches!
