In Blade Ball, it’s primarily a PVP game and even though you can play with friends sometimes you’ll want to fight other people as well. You’ll want to learn how to play first as well as get better in the game if you want to jump into PVP. Here are some tips that will help you along the way.
Changing Your Settings
Before you jump into a battle with friends or with strangers you’ll need to fix your settings first. Go to the game’s settings and there you can change the keybinding of the different moves in the game. You can change these to whatever makes you more comfortable.
This is also the place where you can click on the “Low Graphics” settings. This will minimize the graphics of your games which is a competitive edge.
There are a lot of particle effects in this game that might give your game lag or stutter. Having lower graphics means there’s less of that to affect your gameplay.
Training Mode
Now, that your game is set and ready you should always try to do Training Mode first. Even if you’re new to the game or a veteran just starting a new game, it’s always good to get some practice before a match.
You can go to the Training Mode by going to the Server Select and choosing the blue button on the lower right.
In Training mode, you can have a lot of options from different AI skills to the amount of AI bots you’ll want to fight.
You can also make them move around or stand still as well as make them target other bots if you’d like.
Curve Shots and High Shots
Some of the more advanced techniques in the game are curved shots and high shots. This is where you shoot the ball at a curve toward your opponent either sideways or upwards.
Practicing this move can give you an edge as most newbies always go for just straight shots.
Doing curved or high shots can get your opponent off-guard as well as keep the enemy guessing on the timing. It also works with almost all blades so keep that in mind.
You can do these kinds of shots by aiming your camera at different angles when you parry the ball.
As you can tell, there are a lot of angles you can try this with, and each one can pressure and confuse the enemy. It’s a great skill to learn in the game.
