Blox Fruits is a Roblox game heavily inspired by the wildly popular One Piece manga and anime series, and it features fast-paced PvE and PvP combat. There is a wide variety of fruits, swords, guns, and even plain fighting styles that you can utilize in the game.
With that said, when it comes to comparing builds centered around fruits and swords, which is the better option for player vs player engagements?
Credits go to BoxTissues for testing specific builds in order to settle the debate for good.
Fruit vs Sword | Which is Better For PVP?
There are many builds and combinations of weapons and fruits that you can take advantage of in the game, and your stat build will determine whether you are a fruit main or a sword main.
For the purposes of this comparison, we’ll be taking a look at a very specific build for each type of player and judging which is better based on its ease of use and actual strength in a fight with others.
Fruit Main Build
For the fruit main build, the following weapons, fruit, and fighting style was used for testing:
- Godhuman (fighting style)
- Dough (fruit)
- Cursed Dual Katana (sword)
- Kabucha/Soul Guitar (gun)
This build is centered around comboing with an entire arsenal of abilities that can knockback, stun, and even break instinct.
The Dough fruit is particularly great for PVP due to its insane stunning capabilities and versatility when paired with other items and styles, and it is just incredibly easy to use in general when compared to others (to the point where you can simply spam moves and win).
Sword Main Build
On the other hand, for the sword main build, the following fighting style, fruit, and weapons were paired together:
- Godhuman (fighting style)
- Portal (fruit)
- Dark Blade (sword)
- Kabucha (gun)
The Dark Blade is an incredibly strong weapon with very low mastery requirements, and it has some quick, hard-hitting moves that combo well with other stuff.
One downside to this build is that you will be relying a lot on the rest of your arsenal to stun, move around, and even break instinct, as the sword itself is mainly just a damage-dealing tool. This is one of the reasons why you take portal, as it addresses some of your mobility issues.
Conclusion
Overall, both options are perfectly viable in PVP, though fruit mains will have a much easier time as their combos are easier to pull off, and the ideal fruit (Dough) is strong enough on its own that, in some cases, you may not even need other combo pieces.
And that’s pretty much it for this guide. Basically, there is no “best” option in terms of viability, but in when talking about how easy combos are to pull off, fruit builds are absolutely much better in that regard. Of course, you can’t forget that individual skill will ultimately still be the deciding factor in PVP.
