Sharks can be a problem in a lot of games, not just survival crafting games like Dinkum. Did you know that sharks can actually affect your losses in Hearts Of Iron 4, a grand strategy game? These oversized tunas with an attitude are everywhere. In this guide, we’ll show how to fight sharks.
How To Fight Sharks In Dinkum
The sharks only attack you when you’re on water, and don’t bother you when you’re on a boat. You might think hopping in and out of a boat to fight the shark is a good idea and it can be done, but most of the time you’ll end up just destroying your boat. Or worse, the shark destroys the boat.
Another way to fight them is to bait them into the beach. The shark has an animation where it lunges forward, if you time it right and aim the shark at the shore it’ll be easy to hit him.
When it goes to low health though it’ll try to flee and won’t attack you anymore. It’ll always swim the opposite of where you are, so use that to lead it back to the beach, then smack it dead!
Another way to fight sharks is to use the Boogie Board. You can find this as a common drop in the mines. Once you have it you can equip it and you’ll be faster in the water, you can also jump while in the water to avoid the shark’s attacks!
To effectively fight with the Boogie Board though you’ll need to quickly jump, then equip your weapon, then attack. It needs some getting used to, but it is viable. I personally just like to bait it to the shore myself, since using the board makes it very easy to do so and makes dodging their attacks a breeze.
Now you know how to fight those sharks, go and find them and give them a good whack!
