Wheat is one of the very first plants that we started farming as humans. It’s known as the founding crop of agriculture and since then it’s been with us. Wheat can be used in a variety of things from making flour and being great sets for slasher movies where the protagonists run through wheat fields with the killer and some of them don’t leave. In this guide, we’ll show you how to do that…Making flour, not the other thing.

How To Get Flour In Dinkum

First off, you need to get yourself a farming license, you can get that from Grandma Fletch and a Level 1 Farming License will do nicely.

Next, you need Rayne to either be permanently on your island or there to visit. It’s better if she’s permanently there because she sells wheat seeds all the time in her shop. Go to her and buy some wheat seeds!

The good thing about these wheat seeds is they grow in any season. They take 9 days to grow fully and cost 360 Dinks each. You should buy at least 4 of these, or buy a lot since it’s so cheap! Now get yourself a hoe and watering can and start farming. If you don’t know how to farm yet, don’t worry! We have a guide right here: Dinkum: Farming, Raising Animals & Growing Fruit.

You can tell they’re ready to harvest when there are shiny particles all around them. If that’s the case then get your scythe and start swinging away to get all of that wheat!

Next on the list is a Grain Mill. You unlock this with the Farming Level 1 License. They cost 4 Gum Wood Planks, 4 Old Gears, 2 Copper Bars and 1 Old Wheel. Once you’ve made some, place them somewhere nice.

Now equip the wheat you’ve collected and left-click on the grinder. It takes 4 wheat to make one bag of flour and it also takes a few minutes to make so be patient.

Once it’s done though it’ll spit the fresh bags of flour and there you have it. Congratulations, you now know how to make flour in this game, now go out there and try it yourself!
