Item durability has always been a debate in video games. One of the bigger games that started this trend was Fallout 3 which was also the first in the series to have it. Some love it since it gives a sense of importance to some items as they try to keep them longer. While others hate it since it just leads to annoying and repetitive situations trying to keep the item you like. Whatever your camp is in this debate make sure to keep that item durability high in Dinkum with this guide! Let’s find out how to get a repair table.
How To Get Repair Table In Dinkum
In the early parts of the game, you’ll be using your tools a lot. This means there are a lot of times you’ll lose those tools as well. Then you have to go back to John’s and buy those same tools again and again. Well, sometimes a visitor named Franklyn will appear on your island. Giving this guy shiny disks unlocks a lot of things that are going to be really helpful in your farm. Well, one of those things he can make is a repair table!
The repair tale costs 5 Gum Wood Plank, 4 Tin Bars, 4 Copper Bars, 5 Old Gears and 16 Nails. It will also cost 60,000 Dinks. Every item except the old gears can be crafted easily, for the old gears the easiest way to get those is to look for buried items. We have a guide on how to use the Metal Detector to speed up that process right here: Dinkum: How To Use Metal Detector | Full Guide On Using The Metal Detector.
Franklyn like most visitors in the island is random so you might need to wait a few days for him to arrive, once he does though you can get the repair table. One other thing you should also get from him are repair kits!
These things cost 30,000 Dinks so they’re a bit pricey in the early game. You need them to use the repair table. They’re a good investment though since it repairs ALL of your tools inside your inventory! So before using the repair table to repair that battered axe of yours, make sure you also bring all your other tools so they can be repaired as well!
Now that you know how to use a repair table, go out there and chop trees and mine wood without any worry of them breaking! Well, they can still break but that will be on you from now on since you have a choice to repair it.
