Gacha mechanics has been spreading all around the world through gaming culture lately. It used to only be in their own little world in parts of Asia like Japan, but have recently been making way to other cultures as well. Even the game Dinkum, a game that’s clearly inspired by Australian culture, has a Gacha Machine in it. In this guide we’ll show you how to use the Gacha Machine, don’t get addicted!
How To Use Gacha Machine in Dinkum
First things first, you need to have Franklyn on your island. You can wait for him to visit you if he doesn’t have a permanent place yet but it’s better if he actually has one so you don’t have to wait. Next is you need to level up your fishing, foraging and mining. You need them leveled up so you can get at least the level 2 Licenses for Mining, Logging and Fishing so you can unlock the Commerce License.
Franklyn won’t make your Gacha Machine unless you have that License so better get grinding those levels! Once you’ve got them though you have to actually unlock the recipe by donating shiny disks to Franklyn. After donating enough disks, and you unlocking the recipe, he can finally make one for you.
The Gacha Machine costs 5 Old Gears, 2 Iron Bars, 1 Glass Bulb, 1 Button Board and 1 Old Toy. Then you have to pay Franklyn 70,000 Dinks to actually make it. Once you’ve given him all the ingredients and the Dinks, he’ll make it all night and it’ll be ready the next day, what a hard worker!
Once you’ve placed your Gacha Machine you can start rolling for those items! But where do you get the money to pay it? Well, you can actually go to your inventory and click on your money counter, this will take all your money out of the counter and turn it into an actual inventory item!
Each roll of the Gacha machine requires 5000 Dinks! Which is a lot, so be sure to stand near the Gacha machines menacingly with a flaming bat to establish dominance.
The Gacha machines take all day to drop their items, and the items can range from food to tools. As you can see in the image below, one Gacha machine gave me an Iron Pickaxe! And another one gave me a simple spear.
We don’t take kindly to Gacha Machines that give us bad items.
Now that you know how to make Gacha machines and use them, go out there and test your luck!
