Crafting in video games have been a thing since the rise of the crafting survival genre, and even more before that. There’s something great about crafting your own gear, consumables or even furniture in games. Often times these craftable items are way better than what you get in shops and so most people tend to make it themselves. Some people don’t bother with it though but still get crafted gear from other players like in MMOs. If you like crafting your own items in video games Final Fantasy XIV has you covered, in this guide we’ll show you the Skysteel Crafter Tools.

Skysteel Crafter Tools Guide For Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker Edition

Often times in Final Fantasy quests unlock new stuff in the game. In this particular guide we’ll show you Skysteel Crafter Tools which can be unlocked through a quest.

The first thing you’ll need to do is head over to Ishgard and find the SKysteel Engineer, this will start the quest: Mislaid Plans. After finishing that quest you’ll unlock another quest called “Work It Harder, Make It Better.”

In the second quest you’ll need to Augment a Skysteel Prototype tool. To do that, go to the Skysteel Manufactory and talk to the NPC for Skysteel tool Exchange.

For now, you can only get a Prototype tool. Each Skysteel Tool Prototype costs 80,000 gil. But through the quest you did before you’ll have a “Skysteel Prototype Coffer” which can give you one tool for free.

Talk to him again and choose Skysteel Prototype Augmentation and augment the tool with specific materials. These materials can only be crafted with the Prototype tool equipped so keep that in mind! When going through the crafting log you can go to Ishgard Restoration then Skysteel Tools to make those materials.

These materials that you craft though need “Oddly specific materials” which you can get using white crafter scrips.

Once you augment your Prototype tool twice you can then finish the quest and go to the next quest which is “In Everyone’s Best Interests.” After finishing that quest, you can then talk to Nimie to get your next quest which you can choose which job you want to partake the quest in.

This quest involves more materials you get through the quest as well as crafting. When you get back to Denys the Skysteel Tool Exchange NPC you’ll notice he has additional options for Oddly Specific Materials Exchange that you’ll need to do for the quest.

After finishing that step you’ll need to do the next step which is “The Tools of Tomorrow.” This quest is basically the same as before. You’ll need Oddly specific materials then you’ll exchange them for items the quest wants. After that quest is a short quest called “Oddness in the End” which you’ll need to complete.

The last step is “The Pinnacle of Possibility” which is more crafting but with a much much higher collectability requirement. You’ll need proper gear, food buffs and accessories for this one. Even with that it’s all RNG so remember to get more materials than what you think you’ll need.

Congratulations you now know how to do the Skysteel Crafter Tools quest line, now go out there and start crafting! Massive thanks to Ashe10 for showing everyone how the quests works.
