There’s a new God of War game out there and days after its release it’s already at overwhelmingly positive reviews. God of war Ragnarok is the continuation of Kratos’ story with the developers and writers of the game expanding on the Norse Mythology by introducing more characters from the mythos. The game also has more freedom given to the player when it comes to the open world and because of the open world there’s also lots of hidden goodies and puzzles to solve around it. In this guide we’ll show you how to open the Nornir chest in the Abandoned Village.
The Abandoned Village Nornir Chest Solution In God Of War Ragnarok
There’s a lot of different collectibles that you can find in God of War Ragnarok and one of those are Nornir chests. These special chests has 3 runes associated with each one of them and you need to activate those runes to open the chest. Sometimes it’s as easy as throwing a spear at them, but some require a bit more effort. Here’s how you solve the Abandoned Village Nornir Chest.
In the village is a large rotating crane that’s holding a brazier. The brazier at the start is unlit and is being held by brambles, burn the brambles away to let the brazier free and light it at the same time.
Now look at the gold circles around the crane’s main body and hit the one on the right.
Once it stops use your swords to pull it and it’ll light the first rune just below you.
Now use the other crane to jump to the south-southwestern area and hit the circle on the right again.
This will burn some more brambles blocking your way, you’ll then need to pull it again but this time to the right to light the second rune. Now hit the left circle to reset the position and use the crane to jump back from where you started.
Hit the right side again and use the crane to go jump on the other side of the bridge to the west. Below the bridge is the chest and in front of the chest is the 3rd rune to open it.
