Hades 2 is a fresh take on the roguelike RPG games with its unique artistic style and gameplay mechanics. It features Melinoë, the princess of the underworld as the main character. Currently, it is available as Early Access on Steam. One of the best things of Hades 2 is its Boon building system. It allows you to play the game however you like. You can have one build in one run and a completely different build in the next run. This keeps things interesting and fun. This guide will tell you about an impressive Sprint Build.

Best Sprint Build Guide

This build is geared towards sprinting and relying on your Special attack. You will be alternating between sprinting and using a special attack and then sprinting again and so on. And for the weapon, we will be going with the Witch’s Staff.

SIDE NOTE: We also have a guide which lists down all Keepsakes in the game! Make sure to check it out as well.

Boons

This build will use Boons that offer Sprint bonuses and cause Blitz related effects. Following are the Boons you will require for this build:

Ionic Gain

Ionic Gain - Hades 2: Best Sprint Build Guide
Ionic Gain (Magick Boon).
  • This Boon is pretty straightforward and used for Magick restoration. Your total Magick will be reduced by 70% but you will gradually start getting Magick back.
  • The amount of Magick restored depends on the rarity:
    • 4 Magick restored every second if Common.
    • 6 Magick restored every second if Rare.
    • 8 Magick restored every second if Epic.
  • This should take care of your Mana problems.
  • You can get this Boon from Zeus.

Smithy Sprint

Smithy Sprint - Hades 2: Best Sprint Build Guide
Smithy Sprint (Sprint Boon).
  • This is the main Sprinting component of this build. With this Boon, you will create a blast that deals AOE damage after you sprint for 1 second. It will use 10 of your Magick.
  • The damage done by the blast will depend on the rarity:
    • 200 damage done if Common.
    • 300 damage done if Rare.
    • 400 damage done if Epic.
    • 500 damage done if Heroic.
  • You can get this Boon from Hephaestus.

Beach Ball

Beach Ball - Hades 2: Best Sprint Build Guide
Beach Ball (Duo Boon).
  • This Boon will let your sprinting create a wave behind you which stops and surges ahead to burst when you stop sprinting. The burst will cause 140 damage.
  • This works really well with Smithy Sprint. With those two Boons, your sprint will now start to deal some sweet damage.
  • This is a Duo Boon so you need Poseidon and Apollo for it.

Heaven Flourish

Heaven Flourish - Hades 2: Best Sprint Build Guide
Heaven Flourish (Special Boon).
  • This Boon will make your Special attacks inflict Blitz on your enemies.
  • Blitz is a curse that activates after you deal 120 damage to the enemy that is afflicted. That enemy will be struck by lightning.
  • The damage done by the Blitz depends on the rarity:
    • 100 damage done if Common.
    • 140 damage done if Rare.
    • 180 damage done if Epic.
    • 220 damage done if Heroic.
  • You can get this Boon from Zeus.

Romantic Spark

Romantic Spark
Romantic Spark (Duo Boon).
  • With this Boon, you can instantly activate Blitz on enemies that are afflicted when you sprint close to them. This will also make the Blitz do 200% extra damage.
  • You can see now how sprinting and Blitz are working together to cause a pretty decent amount of damage.
  • This is a Duo Boon so you need Zeus and Aphrodite for it.

Double Strike

Double Strike
Double Strike (Passive Boon).
  • When you have this Boon, your lighting bolts (such as from Blitz) have a chance to strike again.
  • The chance depends on the rarity:
    • 5% chance if Common.
    • 10% chance if Rare.
  • You can get this Boon from Zeus.

Divine Vengeance

Divine Vengeance
Divine Vengeance (Passive Boon).
  • When you take damage, your enemy will be struck by lightning. There’s a 50% chance that the same enemy will be struck by lightning again.
  • The damage done by the lighting bolts depend on the rarity:
    • 100 damage up to 2 times if Common.
    • 100 damage up to 3 times if Rare.
    • 100 damage up to 4 times if Epic.
  • You can get this Boon from Zeus.

Toasting Fork

Toasting Fork
Toasting Fork (Passive Boon).
  • This Boon will come in handy if you were not successful in activating the Blitz inflicted on an enemy. This will make sure that the enemy still receives damage even if the Blitz expires.
  • The amount of Blitz damage done will depend on the rarity:
    • 75% damage if Common.
    • 100% damage if Rare.
  • You can get this Boon from Zeus.

Furnace Blast

Furnace Blast
Furnace Blast (Passive Boon).
  • This Boon will let you inflict your enemies with Vent when they are caught in the blast created by your sprinting (Smithy Sprint).
  • Vent is a curse which causes the enemy a burst of damage after 5 seconds.
  • The amount of damage done by Vent depends on the rarity:
    • 300 damage done if Common.
    • 400 damage done if Rare.
    • 500 damage done if Epic.
    • 600 damage done if Heroic.
  • You can get this Boon from Hephaestus.

Shimmering Moonshot

Shimmering Moonshot
Shimmering Moonshot (Hammer Upgrade).
  • This will make your Special attacks bounce to other enemies (up to 2) and deal them 10% of the damage.
  • You can get this Boon from Daedalus Hammer.

This is it for this build! Now you have the recipe to leave a trail of destruction wherever you sprint. One more build I recommend you try out and it is pretty simple to build as well is the Machine Gun build. Sounds interesting, doesn’t it?
