There are all kinds of players in Honkai: Star Rail because it’s one of those games that’s friendly to all gameplay styles. Some are into the lore and storyline, fascinated by the depth of the mystery that surrounds the game’s universe. Some love the character designs and their interactions and dig the moments they get to spend talking to them. Some are casual players that find the balance in everything.

Then there’s you who loves the challenge that test your team composition’s solidity and skills. And with a turn-based game, the challenge comes in strategizing properly the element, path, and turns. But Honkai: Star Rail doesn’t necessarily require tryhards if the main storyline is all you play. Because the real challenge is in the Forgotten Hall.

Fleeting Lights Guide

The Fleeting Lights mission is simple after you reply to Pom-Pom texts:

  • Talk to Pom-Pom
  • Locate the strange occurrence aboard the Express
  • Investigate the strange mirror
    • (Optional) Ask the others about the weird mirror
  • Clear any Memory stage of the Forgotten Hall
  • Tell the truth to the Astral Express Crew

The key to getting to the Forgotten Hall is by finishing the Fleeting Lights quest, but before that, you might want to know what’s the Forgotten Hall about. If you’re a Genshin player, the Forgotten Hall is essentially the Spiral Abyss that splits into two teams the further in you go.

For newcomers to Hoyoverse games, welcome, the Forgotten Hall is where you try, cry, Google for help, and try some more because it really challenges your gaming skill. The enemies are way tankier than they are in the main storyline, random modifiers are added to encourage certain team comps, and what’s most challenging for many is having to create two teams instead of one to progress.

The requirements to getting the Fleeting Lights mission is to reach Trailblaze level 21. Which is a level you can only gain after you finish the Trial of Equilibrium.

Pom-Pom sends you a message from time to time that prompts Adventure Missions. One of them is for the Fleeting Lights mission which is basically the conductor asking you to come back because “something doesn’t feel right on the Express.” Teleport there and a cutscene will play showing disturbed Pom-Pom.

Pom-Pom will ask you to find the weird thing, which is located just at the back of the carriage. It is in the shape of a mirror that is cracked in the middle. Interact with it. It won’t do anything aside from your character making some observation comments. After this point, you’re free to ask around the other characters about the weird mirror.

Interact with it once again and you’ll meet an alien girl, the Messenger from the Garden of Recollection who basically said “hippity hoppity, this place is now my home.” And according to her own words, she’s traveling “in the form of memes” to search for precious memories for the Aeon Fuli.

Good to know that even though they think our memories are precious, they’re not yet planning to take it from us by force and just want to make a copy of them. And without further ado, the door to the Forgotten Hall is open.

For someone who just waltz into space because they’re interested in your memories, they’re pretty strict about sharing their existence. Once you’re done talking to her, you can head back to your companions on the train and talk about her existence or not. She did say that if you choose to, their memories will be blocked out and they won’t remember about her anyways.

By playing the Forgotten Hall, you get 200 Stellar Jades & 20,000 Credits for every 3 Insignias scored on each stage. Obviously, you’ll have to grind a little bit more and create comps that are suitable for different stages.
