We all know that Honkai: Star Rail loves their puzzles in every quest, be it in main quests or side quests. Sometimes, they’re the easiest thing in the world while at other times they feel like you need a college degree and 25 years of puzzle working experience to complete it. In the quest Onward Cloudford, you’ll be tasked with completing the trial in one of the areas. Luckily for you, this is a simple puzzle.
In this guide, we’ll show you how you can solve this puzzle for this side quest in Honkai Star Rail. Now, let’s see what the quest needs us to do!
Onward Cloudford – Complete the Trial In The Current Area
To solve this puzzle, you’ll first need to go to the area shown in the map below. There, you’ll find a controller on the other side of the box that you need to move. Use that controller to start moving the box.

When you interact with the controller, the camera will shift to what you see below to get a better view of what’s happening.
What you’ll want to do is select Move to the Left until you move the box to the left-most edge of the rail.
Once you’ve done that, from the controller go west, then north, and then east going down the stairs to the rails where the box is. Now, head south up the stairs and there, you’ll find another controller.
This time, you’ll need to move the boxes above so that the box with the icon is aligned with the red box you moved below. You can use the image below as a reference.
Once you’ve done that, you’ll then need to go down the stairs again and align the now complete picture with your camera.
Afterwards, you can then take a picture of it to complete this part of the side quest!
Doing this will start a short cutscene on March 7th, and the quest will continue to the next step.
