There are so many achievements to do in Honkai: Star Rail and it just never ends. And Hoyoverse spares no effort in slipping in pop culture references. The hidden achievement ‘Perish Song’ is one such example (any Pokemon fans out there?). And unless you’re deliberately doing it, it’s highly unlikely that you can figure this one out.
We’re going to look for enemies that will fit the bill for ‘Perish Song’ achievement and tips to get it.
Perish Song Hidden Achievement
The Perish Song is an achievement that requires you to get knocked out together with the enemy. If you’re a Pokemon fan, you’ve probably figured out what this means just from hearing the achievement name. It’s a reference to a move where after a certain amount of turns, both you and the enemy will faint.
Back to Star Rail, there are currently two enemies with which you can do this. The first one is the Mara-struck magician in Xianzhou Luofu. Or more accurately, the Abomination: Internal Alchemist that you can find in several maps on this flagship. You can find the one shown below in Divination Commission not far from the Space Anchor.
One of the skills this guy has is Seeding Core, which is him implanting an explosive seed in a character. His talent Core Rupture activates when he receives a killing blow, dealing an explosive Lightning DMG to a target. And depending on how many characters got the debuff, it’ll deal damage on them. Note that this skill can be removed as it’s considered a debuff.
This makes this guy an easier choice for this achievement. That’s because all you need to do is wait until he uses his talent, which doesn’t take long.
If your character has the seed, you’ll see this status on your character. (Sorry, I don’t have any beef with Hook).
When it explodes, it doesn’t matter if the whole team dies. As long as the battle ends with both knockdowns, you get the achievement.
Another enemy you can do this with is the Patrol Machine in Robot Settlement. These guys come with the Automaton Spiders that can self-explode. You can actually find them almost anywhere in Belobog, especially in the Great Mine and Robot Settlement. Shown below is one to the west of Robot Settlement with two of them.
The Self-Exploding Module is a self-destruct skill that causes big fire DMG. But it can only work after this Automaton use his Timed Module. The next turn after casting this skill, they’ll ram themselves into the target and explode.
Below is an ideal situation that ensures success. With that said, I find timing it can be hard with these bots. That’s because they’re tied as two waves, so you need to survive both battles to get the achievement.
You can aggro only one of them so you only have to deal with one. Or you can run the comp shown above: one single-target DPS, sacrifice, and March 7th. This way, you can keep your two other characters after you get your death.
And that’s how you can get ‘Perish Song’ achievement and 5 Stellar Jades!
