Locked doors in video games can be annoying because you know there’s loot and challenge behind it! Some games let you lock-pick it while others need you to have a certain key. Why can’t we just break locks like the good old games of yore? We need that loot behind that locked door and nothing can stop us!
In Honkai Star Rail, there’s no lock-picking mini game so you’ll need to have keys for locks. In this guide we’ll show you where to find the Market Key in Rivet Town. Now let’s find where that pesky key is!
Where to Find The Market Key
In Honkai Star Rail there is a locked door in the Market of Rivet Town that needs a key. The key is named “The Market Key” and you’ll need to do a couple of quests to get it.
Here are the steps to get the Market Key:
- Finish all of Hook’s Treasure side quests including the two Treasure Maps;
- Give the Key to Somewhere to Julian;
- Get the Market Key from Julian;
- Open the Market gate with the key and claim the loot!
Hook’s Treasure Side Quest
The first step is to actually do a couple of side quests. The side quest you need to do is Hook’s Treasure where you can get a Precious Chest at the end. The quest involves getting two Treasure Maps and finding the treasures in it. While doing the quest you’ll also get The Key to Somewhere item.

Getting and Using the Key
Once you’ve gotten the Key to Somewhere, go to the NPC Julian to give the key to him. You can find him in the Boulder Town Market. After a while you can talk to him again and he’ll give you the Market Key!
That’s how you get the Market Key for Honkai Star Rail. Now all you need to do is go to the Market in Rivet Town and open the gate using the key! Past the gate is a Precious Treasure Chest as well as a mini boss you can fight.
