The side stories in Honkai: Star Rail are often hidden away within the dialogues and interactions that have zero navigation help. These stories can be so funny and weird, like the Immortal in a Vase in Exalting Sanctum, or just straight up heartbreaking like this Xianzhou Trading quest. But the best part of these all is that they give you Stellar Jades!
But sometimes, the trigger that starts the entire quest can be so well-hidden in plain sight. Or maybe you’re stuck because you didn’t read the dialogue properly! Either way, we’ve got your back, so you know who to look and where to go until you get the Stellar Jade reward.
Xianzhou Luofu Trading Quest Guide
The quest begins with you and your kleptomania behavior kicking off when you see that shiny thing on the table right in front of Pawnbroker Handian, the owner of the Jeweler’s Pagoda. The Jeweler’s Pagoda is located at Central Starskiff Haven just in front of the anchor point. Investigate the item and the owner will reprimand you before talking about a suspicious man who’ve been muttering about “revenge” for a while now across the store.
For some reason, the pawnbroker thinks this man will want it. Anyway, talk to the Frowning Young Man who is just in front of the shop and offer him the dirty mechanical part because he’s lost an important component. Thinking this is his, you offer it to him, but apparently you’re wrong. Although, it was indeed made from his dad’s factory so he took it anyway.
In return, he gave you a locked box with a keyhole. But he had no key for it. Now, you have an old tin box. You’ll have to find who wants this box.
Afterwards, you need to head over to the Exalting Sanctum and visit the bookstore on the lower right corner. When you approach this area and listen, a dialogue will automatically play between the Sad Woman and Yinshu, the shopkeeper. The Sad Woman is looking for an iron box. If you ask about it, she’ll explain that she’s actually a Vidyadhara, or a humanoid dragon race. She’d just been reborn and was looking for her past memories.
Offer the woman the iron box. She will have the key to unlock the content, revealing that the person who promised her a Memory Bubble from the Garden of Recollection lied. There were only physical items inside there that tells her of how she used to be in love with a short-lived species. She thanked you vehemently for bringing this box to her and to show her gratitude, gave you a jar of Draconic Tears.
You’re stumped again. This looks like a beautiful jar of colorful marbles, but at the same time, what can you do with it? Go back to the Jeweler’s Pagoda and talk to the Pawnbroker. Tell him that you’ve ended up with a bottle of Draconic Tears. He’ll tell you that while he’s not offering more than 1000 credits, conveniently, there’s another guy who’s interested in this thing.
And this man is also conveniently, not far from the store. Find an NPC named Howard, IPC Specialist.
After you finish trading out the Draconic Jar with this man then you’re done with the entire Xianzhou Luofu Trading quest. You’ll get 10 Stellar Jades and 10 Strales as reward.
