How to Deal with New Mob Maneater
Keep in mind that the new Maneater mob can spawn in any of the interiors in Lethal Company. This includes Facility, Mansion and the new Mineshaft.

How Maneater Works
When the Maneater spawns in Lethal Company, it starts off as a baby. This baby makes a distinct crying sound that can be heard from far away. When the baby Maneater spots you, it will walk to you and follow you.
To make the baby quiet, you’ll need to carry and rock it until it stops crying. After that, you can put it down and it will follow you again. It will start crying again after some time.
If you do not rock it fast enough, it will continue crying and eventually move away from you. This will make it harder for you to catch him.
It is crucial that you rock him and keep him from crying. This is because eventually he will transform into its monster stage. In this new monster stage, the Maneater is incredibly dangerous.
He becomes very aggressive and will chase you down if it spots you. It is also very fast so you will need to stay as far away as you can from it in Lethal Company.
However, it does have very poor eyesight and seemingly does not react to light. So, you will need to be close to it before it can spot you. When it doesn’t have an aggro on you, it will typically just walk around as it did in its baby form, but much faster.
It seems that the Maneater also has poor tracking in its monster form when chasing someone. When it does spot you, it will prepare to jump before attacking you.
Maneater Strategy
Your main strategy when dealing with the Maneater is to keep it calm for as long as you can in its baby form. If you’re in a group, you should try to have one person always keeping the baby calm when needed. The rest can then look out for the loot.
However, if you’re solo, then you’ll need to periodically return to the baby while looting or exploring to calm it down. This can be difficult if the loot is especially far away.
Eventually, it will turn into its monster form if you do not return to it in time.
The Maneater has poor eyesight and tracking in its monster form. So you need to take advantage of this when you’re faced with it in Lethal Company.
When you’re faced with the Maneater in its monster form, it will take some time to jump before attacking you. So, the moment you see it, run! At the same time, try to go around a corner as soon as possible.
This is because the Maneater is incredibly fast, so you’ll need to lose it before it gets you. After that, make sure to stay away from it.
Another important thing to keep in mind is that the Maneater will still make the same sounds as it did as a baby when it’s a monster. This is a trick to lure you in, as you would think it is in its baby form and come to it to rock it.
You can differentiate the monster and baby sounds though. If you listen carefully, you’ll notice a very subtle growl at the end of each cry. This will help you understand whether it’s still in its adult form or not.
You should especially keep this in mind if you’re systematically leaving the crying baby and returning to it. While you return to it, listen carefully to its sounds to ensure it’s not in its monster form.
