It’s great to see an indie game blow up with popularity like Lethal Company. It’s a game made by one person and yet it offers so much with friends compared to some other big games. There are a lot of things in the game that can help you and your friends find more scrap in the game and most of them you can buy from your ship.
In this guide, we’ll show you how you can get an Extension Ladder in the game. We’ll also show you how you can use it. Now, let’s see where we can get this item!
How to Get & Use Extension Ladder
There are a lot of tools that you can buy in Lethal Company that will help you in getting more scrap. Of course, not all of them are useful and some are just there to have fun with friends. One tool that is quite useful is the Extension Ladder which can help you get to hard-to-reach places.
To get an Extension Ladder, you’ll want to go to your ship’s buy terminal. From there, you’ll have to type in “store” and then “extension ladder.”
Once you see the screen shown below, you’ll want to type in “confirm” and you’ll buy the Extension Ladder. It costs 60 of the game’s currency which is pretty cheap!

Like all deliveries in the game, once you buy something, it’ll be delivered at the start of the next hour. A rocket will land and will drop the item near your ship. The extension ladder will look like a toolbox, take it to start using it.
You can then use the Extension Ladder by pressing the Left Mouse Button. Doing so will drop the item on the ground and a set of ladders will extend upwards.
On flat ground, it will fall forward which you can then set up to get on high areas.
Unlike the ladder on the ship where you “latch on” to it, with this ladder you can just get on top of it and walk over. You can even use it as a bridge if you set it up properly.
That’s how you get and use an Extension Ladder in Lethal Company. Now, go out there and try to get one for yourself and your friends!
