LoL 12.20 Patch Notes: Nerfs, Buffs & Everything You Need To Know

League of Legends is MOBA game that has been around since of October 2009. The game is still alive and full of players as its popularity remains the same (though the Arcane animated series brought its popularity up, but now it’s back to what it was before).

While the game just received its patch 12.19, news of patch 12.20 has now hit the internet. League of Legends players are either to know more about it. Did someone get nerfed? Did someone get buffed? What kind of changes are made? Any new skins? These kinds of questions are normal for patches, and it is luckily answered.

Matt Leung-Harrison, Lead Designer for the League Balance Team excitedly shares news about the new patch. Here, will go into detail of what the patch entails starting with Champion Buffs:

Champion Buffs:

  • Evelynn

Q Marked Bonus Damage increased 10-50 ⇒ 15-55

W Charm Duration increased from 1-2s ⇒ 1-2.25s

  • Gwen

Q:

Base damage per snip increased 10-26 ⇒ 10-30

Final snip base damage increased from 60-140 to 60-160

  • Jayce

Melee W Mana Restore increased 6/8/10/12/14/16 ⇒ 10/12/14/16/18/20

Bonus Armor and MR: 5/15/25/35 ⇒ 5/15/25/35 ( +7.5% bAD ratio)

  • Rammus

W Self Slow: Removed

R Speed: 105% of original MS ⇒ 110% of original MS

  • Wukong (Top)

R AD ratio per cast increased 220% ⇒ 275%

  • Gwen

Q:

Base damage per snip increased 10-26 ⇒ 10-30

Final snip base damage increased from 60-140 to 60-160

  • Ziggs

Q damage increased 85-285 ⇒ 95-295

Champion Nerfs:

  • Aatrox

Passive healing reduced 100% of damage dealt ⇒ 80% of damage dealt

  • Maokai

Passive healing reduced 4.5-12% of max health ⇒ 4-10% of max health

R cooldown increased 120-80s ⇒ 120-100s

  • Sett

MR reduced 32 ⇒ 28

Passive adjustments:

Regeneration reduced 0.25/0.5/1/2 ⇒ 0.15/0.5/1/2

Right punch bAD ratio increased 50% ⇒ 55%

Champion Adjustment:

Elise adjustments

  • Elise’s Q: Neurotoxin / Venomous Bite
  • Human cast range: 625 ⇒ 575
  • Human hitbox: Target’s center ⇒ Target’s edge

Blitzcrank adjustments (Jungle buff/Support nerf)

  • Blitzcrank’s Passive: Mana Barrier
  • Shield: 30% maximum mana ⇒ 15-45% maximum mana, scaling with level
  • Blitzcrank’s Q: Rocket Grab
  • Damage: 105/155/205/255/305 ⇒ 105/150/195/240/285
  • Blitzcrank’s W: Overdrive
  • Bonus damage to monsters: 60/90/120/150/180 ⇒ 60/100/140/180/220
  • Blitzcrank’s E: Power Fist
  • Damage: 200% tAD (+25% AP) ⇒ 175% tAD (+25% AP)
  • Bonus damage to monsters: 150% tAD (+125% AP) ⇒ 175% tAD (+125% AP)
  • Monsters and minions are now occasionally sent to the moon when overkilled

  • Lethal Tempo
  • Capstone Bonus AA Range: 50/75 (melee/ranged) ⇒ 50 for all
  • Frozen Heart:

  • Rock Solid base reduction reduced 7 ⇒ 5
  • Armor: 80 ⇒ 90

  • Mortal Reminder:
  • Consecutive attacks required to trigger empowered Grevious Wounds reduced 2 ⇒ 1
  • Sterak’s Gage
  • Shield decay duration increased 3.75 ⇒ 4.5 seconds
  • Shield bonus health ratio increased 75% ⇒ 80%
  • Base AD to bonus AD ratio increased 45% ⇒ 50%

System Adjustments

  • Demonic Embrace
  • Health reduced 450 ⇒ 350
  • AP increased 60 ⇒ 70
  • Ranged Burn Damage: 1% > 0.8% Max Health

October 19, 2022
