Nightingale has an augmentation feature that lets you build a lot of different structures. Placing augments and traits in your base will grant you new crafting bench recipes or augment your current crafting bench’s performance. Ultimately, these will allow you to craft better equipment, which raises your gear score and lets you advance even more.
How to Craft Augments
You have to get through the main quest until you exit the tutorial realm. Then, you will get the option to choose your starting biome.
Augmentations are something that you are going to have to locate or acquire from the Essence Trader, just like most other things in the game. Buying them directly makes things easier; otherwise, you have to depend on a drop.
An Augmentation will show up in the build menu. Every player has a different recipe and needs a different combination of ingredients to craft an Augment. You need to select the augmentation you wish to create, and then place it anywhere in your base after you have the necessary materials.

How Do Augments Work?

What Do Augments Do?
The primary goal of Augments is to improve the functionality of your handcrafted structures. When you build something in your base, such as a shelter, campfire, or bed roll, and you see a line of green linking it to another compatible structure, it indicates that an Augment is active. This green line stands for a passive bonus effect known as a “trait.”
