This is some very ambitious lumber — thankfully, Gilded Lumber is easier to craft!

Ah, Nightingale. What a blast it’s been to play through this game’s Early Access, especially when there’s still so much to discover. As far as survival games go, this title is right up there with the very best, which is why so many people have gotten try it over the past few weeks. That said, are you interested in how to get Gilded Lumber? Let’s go ahead and help you out!

How To Get Gilded Lumber

Grabbing Gilded Lumber might seem like an arduous process, but it’s not really so bad. It’s something you get by progressing through the game, as you learn various recipes and craft all sorts of tools necessary for success. Speaking of tools, it’s time to start!

Gilded Lumber in Nightingale
This here is what we need.

Starting with the Stations

First and foremost, let’s craft the stations that lead us to Gilded Lumber. These include:

The Simple Smelter

  • Stone Block x6 – You collect these items throughout the realms, specifically near rock formations and water basins.
  • Rocks x6 – Similar to the Stone Blocks, you’ll find these items throughout the realms. They’re even easier to gather, in fact.

This will be your best friend during the whole process.

The Simple Saw Table

  • Wood Bundle x8 – You can chop down trees to get them.
  • Animal Fibre x4 – You can gather them from various animals in the realms. Of course, I would recommend you go for Prey rather than Predator just so it’s easier.

The Brazier

  • Ingot x6 – Using the Smelter, craft the Ingots utilizing Ore, which you can get for mining mineral deposits.
  • Shaft x2 – You can make them using the Smelter for Ingots x2.

The Refined Saw Table

  • Lumber x3 – Turn Wood Bundles into Lumber through the Simple Saw Table.
  • Blade x2 – Blades are a rare drop from enemies, can be purchased from the Essence Trader, and can also be crafted from the Brazier (you’ll need Metal Plates x2, which you can craft from Ingots x3).
  • Mechanical Gears x2 – Craft these from the Brazier using Ingots x3.

The Excellent Saw Table

  • Carved Wood x4 – You’ll be using Lumber x4 and the help of the Refined Saw Table for this.
  • Etched Alloy Ingot x4 – The Alloy Ingot requires Copper Ore and Tin Ore (for Bronze). You can get both types of Ore through Mineral Deposits. You can then use these Alloy Ingots to create an Etched Alloy Ingot using the Brazier.
  • Motor x1 – Get the Motor with Mechanical Gear x2 (these can be crafted from the Brazier for Ingots x3), Copper Wire x1 (you can get them from the appropriate Ingot in the Smelter), and Ingot x2 (you can get them from Ore using the Smelter).
  • Steel Blade x2 – You’ll need Metal Plates x2 to craft this one at the Brazier.

This is your other best friend.

While it might take a while, it’s well worth the effort, because we’re finally at the point where we can craft Gilded Lumber! Oh, and of course, these tools are also needed to improve your chances in the game with the best equipment.

Crafting Gilded Lumber

Now, in order to craft Gilded Lumber, you’ll need to use the Excellent Saw Table with the following:

  • Lumber x2 – You most definitely know how to get this.
  • Ingot x2 – This one’s easy too.

Aaand that’s it! Pretty surprising, right? All of that fanfare so you can finally craft something as important as Gilded Lumber — and that little list of items is pretty much all you need. Still, however, it was well worth the effort, as now you can start crafting even better gear!

Oh also, while you’re here, we have a little guide on how to get Precious Alloy Etched Ingot. It’s always a good idea to learn about everything you can in Nightingale!
