Nightingale: How To Get Pellucid Etched Ingot

Let’s visit the Sun God to get the Pellucid Etched Ingot, shall we?

The Sun Giant in Nightingale.
Yeah, uh... hello. How are you? What's that in your phenomenally gigantic hand?

Nightingale’s Early Access has been making the rounds lately as the survival game to watch, and for good reason! There’s no denying the fact that its mix of Realm Portals and RPG Elements is an addictive match made in survival heaven. That said, it’s understandable if you’ve been wondering about How to Get Pellucid Etched Ingot in the game.

Fortunately, I’ve got the solution right here!

How to Get Pellucid Etched Ingot

If you’re familiar with our guides — such as how to get Precious Alloy Etched Ingot — you probably expect that it has to do with crafting stations and gathering the necessary resources. While it’s understandable that you would think that way, I’m going to introduce you to my good pal the Sun Giant.

Watch it!

You see, unlike the other guides concerning certain kinds of Ingot, the Pellucidic Etched Ingot is something you receive from the Sun Giant.

So, there are two ways you can get this item from the Sun Giant. The first and most obvious step is to beat him up. Yup. It’s simple, but it’s not so simple, right?

Wait, how do I find the Sun Giant?

If you’re having trouble finding the Sun Giant, the simple solution is to go to a Desert Hunt Realm. That said, the process to gather the necessary resources for both the Desert Card and the Hunt Card can be rather long and arduous.

Fortunately, we already have a guide prepared just for you concerning the cards necessary to enter your chosen realm. While the guide involves the Desert Herbarium Realm, the resources necessary are the same. I recommend it since we go through each step to ensure you get everything you need.

This is what you’ll need to get to the Sun Giant.

Of course, I’ll still provide you with a quick rundown. The Desert Card needs:

  • Paper x1 –With your Simple Saw Table, craft Paper using Wood Bundles x2.
  • Ink x1 – To craft Ink, you’ll need Refined Pigment (Pigment Items can come from various sources, including Meat and Plants). The Simple Mortar Station is what you’ll use.
  • Essence Dust x25 Essence Dust is gathered from all sorts of items and materials within the game. You can also gather Essence Dust from achieving milestones within the game.

The Hunt Card needs:

  • Coated Paper x1 – With your Simple Saw Table, craft Paper using Wood Bundles x2. After that, craft Coating by first getting Refined Fibre (through Fibre x6 with the help of the Simple Spinning Wheel), using Refined Fibre x2 to make Fabric, and then finally using Fabric x1 to make the Coating.
  • Vibrant Ink x1 – This first requires Ink x12, which you can get through Refined Pigment x1 and Glass x1. After that, using your Refined Masonry Bench, craft Gunpowder x1 using Sulphur x2, and Coal x2 (both acquired through mining)
  • Essence Dust x25

If it’s a little difficult to follow, make sure to consult the previous guide on the Desert Herbarium Realm. While you’re at it, you may as well have a look at how to give an NPC helper a task!

The Sun Giant Offering in Nightingale.
If he’s offering something, I suggest you take it.

What if I can’t (or don’t want to) beat up the Sun Giant?

Uninterested in fighting the Sun Giant? That’s fine. All you have to do is make an offering to get the rare Pellucidic Etched Ingot. The item the Sun Giant needs to trade the Ingot with you is Ritual Curio Configuration.

Keep in mind that the Ritual Curio Configuration will take a bit of doing to craft. You’ll need:

  • Refined Workbench – A relatively easy crafting station to acquire, you’ll need Lumber x4 (gather Wood Bundles, then turn the Wood Bundles into Lumber with the help of a Simple Saw table), Mechanical Gear x1 (these can be crafted from the Brazier for Ingots x3), and Carved Wood x1 (you’ll need a Refined Saw Table to create Carved Wood using Lumber).
  • Refined Masonry Bench – You can get this extremely handy station through Carved Wood x3, Mechanical Gears x3, and Metal Tip x2 (use the Brazier and Ingots x2 to get it).
  • Cut Gem x1 – You can acquire this item by using your Refined Masonry Bench, adding any Raw Gem (through various Mineral Deposits) and Stone Powder (by processing Stone in the same crafting station).
  • Precious Metal Etched Ingot x1 – This one seems difficult to get, but it’s simply a matter of crafting a Bronze Ingot (through Copper and Tin Ore obtained through mining) and using the Ingots to create a Bronze Etched Ingot through a Brazier.

That’s all she wrote!

Once you’ve gathered the Ritual Curio Configuration, all you have to do is make an offering to the Sun Giant, and he’ll help you out by giving you the Pellucid Etched Ingot. It certainly beats trying to best this behemoth of an NPC for the item you need, that’s for sure.

Of course, you could always try your luck and rush after the Sun Giant, screaming at the top of your lungs. Maybe you can have your NPC Helper distract the big guy while you try to take him down. I’ll be over here, watchign the whole event go down.

I’m not going to help you take the big guy down, but I’ll be there to loot your remains — I mean uh, cheer you on. After all, how hard can it be to take on a giant that can crush you with his pinky finger?

While you’re here, we also have a guide on the recent Distinguished Puppy Twitch Drop! Why not have a look?
