Rusty Retirement is an idle-farming simulator where you work on other tasks while simultaneously tending to your crops. Grow crops, plant them and unlock newer ones for your farm. When you play the game, go for 100% completion. This guide will tell you what you need to do!
Complete Achievements Guide (100%)
The game has more than 30 achievements for you to start collecting! The best part is, none of these achievements are missable and as long as you keep playing, you’ll eventually acquire every achievement and reach 100% Completion.
For your convenience, we’ve divided the achievements into different categories to provide you with a more organized guide to browse through. Let’s look at those categories.

Now let’s start with Miscellaneous Achievements.
Miscellaneous Achievements
These are achievements that are like little easter eggs or secrets. You wouldn’t usually find unless you went looking for them
This is nice!
- Spin the cog once: Click the cog on Rusty’s home as shown in the image below once to get this achievement.
This is not so nice.
- Spin the cog a thousand times: Similar to the previous achievement, but this time click it a 1000 times
Relocation Specialist
- Move a building at least once: Go into the “Buildings” Menu and then click on this move button to move buildings. Do this atleast once for the achievement.
Woah, that’s a big Tomato!
- Grow a Giant Tomato: For this achievement, you need to grow a giant tomato. First unlock and then plant tomatoes in a 2×2 squares pattern and pray to rng for it to spawn. Try planting as many tomatoes as you can and have as many possible 2×2 squares where it can spawn.
Woah, that’s a big Pumpkin!
- Grow a Giant Pumpkin: This will use the same process as for the giant tomato but this time you’ll need a 3×3 square of pumpkin seeds for a chance of it spawning.
Woah, that’s a big Cucumber!
- Grow a Giant Cucumber: Once again the same procedure but this time you will need a 2×2 square of cucumber seeds for a chance of it to spawn.
Maxed Bots
- Maxed Water Bot: Max upgrade a Water Bot
- Maxed Biofuel Bot: Max upgrade a Biofuel Bot
- Maxed Harvest Bot: Max upgrade a Harvest Bot
- Maxed Berry Bot: Max upgrade a Berry Bot
- Maxed Feeder Bot: Max upgrade a Feeder Bot
- Maxed Waste Bot: Max upgrade a Waste Bot
- Maxed Fertilizer Bot: Max upgrade a Fertilizer Bot
Unlocking Echo’s Workshop will allow you to upgrade your little bots. Keep upgrading each of your little bots to unlock all of these achievements.
Automatization
- Deploy one of each robot on a single farm: For this achievement you’ll need to build every all the different houses and also install the following bots on your farm:
- Water Bot (in the Buildings menu)
- Harvest Bot (in the Buildings menu)
- Biofuel Bot (in the Buildings menu)
- Berry Bot (in the Beekeeping menu)
- Feeder Bot (in the Animals menu)
- Waste Bot (in the Animals menu)
- Fertilizer Bot (in the Animals menu)
And that’s it for Miscellaneous. Let’s now move onto the Story Achievements.
Story Achievements
These achievements are completed as you go through the main game storyline normally.
Haiku’s Helping Hand
- Build Haiku’s House: For this achievement, build Haiku’s House from the “Buildings” menu, once that’s done, Haiku will come to your help for watering, harvesting and building.
Sonnet’s Shopping Spree
- Build Sonnet’s Shop: You need to build Sonnet’s Shop from the “Buildings” menu, once you’re done building it, you will unlock the “Decoration” menu. You can use it to decorate your farm any way you like.
Pinion’s Counting Crops
Build Pinion’s House: You can also build Pinion’s House from the “Buildings” menu, once he is unlocked, he will give you access to the “Statistics” menu.
Echo’s Uber Upgrades
- Build Echo’s Workshop: Also build Echo’s Workshop from the “Buildings” menu, Echo will let you upgrades your non-unique bots
Forbic’s Bulbs and Butterflies
- Build Forbic’s House: You can build Forbic’s House from the “Buildings” menu, which will unlock the “Bee Keeping” menu
Slate’s Biodynamic Barn
- Build Slate’s Barn: Try building Slate’s Barn from the “Buildings” menu, once you’re done building it, it will unlock the “Animals” menu
Splunk’s Planting Seeds
- Build Splunk’s House: You can build Splunk’s House from the “Buildings” menu, once you’re done building it, Splunk will help you with planting seeds. All you need to do is select which crops to plant by using the “Splunk’s Signs” in the “Decoration” menu.
A New Crop!
- Unlock a new crop: To unlock a new crop for this achievement, you’ll need to plant and grow different crops. Do this by hovering over the locked crops in the “Crops Storage” menu. There you can preview the requirements for each crop
Green Thumb
- Unlock 10 crops: Achieved the same way as the previous achievement but this time you’ll need to unlock 9 more crops
Horticulturist
- Unlock 25 crops: Achieved the same way as the previous achievement but this time you’ll need 25 total crops unlocked
Crop Collector
- Unlock all crops: You get this achievement after you unlock all the crops. Just follow the instructions to unlock each crops
Berry Collector
- Unlock all berries: To unlock the Berry Collector achievement, head to the “Bee Keeping” menu. You’ll first need to build “Forbic’s House”, once you’re done with that, unlock new berries. The method is the same as with the crops.
Flower Swamp
Unlock the Flower Swamp Farm: To unlock the Flower Swamp Farm, you’ll need to buy all of the farm expansions on your Default Farm
Sandy Desert
- Unlock the Sandy Desert Farm: [TO BE VERIFIED] To unlock the Sandy Desert Farm, you’ll need to buy all of the farm expansions on the Flower Swamp Farm
Blossom Forest
- Unlock the Blossom Forest Farm: [TO BE VERIFIED] To unlock the Blossom Forest, you’ll need to buy all of the farm expansions on the Sandy Desert Farm
Desert Oasis
- Unlock the Desert Oasis Farm: [TO BE VERIFIED] To unlock the Desert Oasis, you’ll need to buy all of the farm expansions on the Blossom Forest Farm
That’s it for the Story Achievements. You’ve made it this far, so why not move on the next set of achievements, which is the Milestone Achievements.
Milestone Achievements
These are achievements which require you to reach a certain milestone in your playthrough to unlock them.
Playtime Milestones Achievements
- Play for 1hr: Play the game for 1 hour
- Play for 24hrs: Play the game for 24 hour (across all farms)
- Play for 48hrs: Play the game for 48 hour (across all farms)
To acquire all of these three achievement, have your game running for a total of 1 hour, 24 hours and 48 hours.
Biofuel Milestones Achievements
- This is a Good Start: Produce 1,000 biofuel across all farms
- A Small Production Line: Produce 5,000 biofuel across all farms
- A Big Production Line: Produce 25,000 biofuel across all farms
- Industrial Revolution: Produce 100,000 biofuel across all farms
- Full-scale Mass Production: Produce 1 MILLION biofuel across all farms.
You will reach these milestones as you progress in the game (try building a few extra Biofuel Converters to speed up the process)
Spare parts Milestone Achievements
- This is Something: Earn 15,000 spare parts across all farms
- A Nice Little Income: Earn 50,000 spare parts across all farms
- Earning Big Bucks: Earn 250,000 spare parts across all farms
- Millionaire: Earn 1 MILLION spare parts across all farms
- Multi-Millionaire: Earn 10 MILLION spare parts across all farms
You will reach these milestones as you progress in the game and work on harvesting crops.
Oh poop!
- Collect 1,000 animal waste: To collect 1,000 animal waste, first build the “Slate’s Barn”. This will unlock the “Animals” menu. Slate should passively slowly collect fossils which you’ll need to create animals, those animals once created will start pooping and producing waste every once in a while. Collect the poop for this achievement.
That’s a Lot of Water
- Water 1 MILLION crops (across all farms): This one is self-explanatory. Simply keep watering your crops until you’ve watered a million. It may take a while to achieve.
That’s a Lot of Crops
- Harvest 1 MILLION crops (across all farms): Same method as the previous one. These two are the longest milestone achievements of this game
That’s it for the Milestone Achievements, time to move to the final set which is the Challenge Achievements! Let’s jump into it.
Challenge Achievements
These are achievements that will take you a while to grind for and will also require a decent amount of time to reach.
Let’s Spruce this Place Up!
- Place at least one decoration: Once you have unlocked the “Decoration” menu, start building any decorations you like to obtain this achievement
This Looks Nice
- Place 25 decorations on a single farm: For this achievement, try taking even the least expensive decoration and place the same decoration 25 times (A single cheapest decoration will cost 50 Spare Parts each)
This is a Pretty Farm
- Place 100 decorations on a single farm: Same process as the previous achievement, but this time you’ll need to place 100 decorations in the same farm.
Buzzing!
- Place 10 Bulb Hives on a single farm: This is one of the more challenging achievements. Main issue that many face is how the cost of a building increases every time you buy a new one.
That’s a Bit Excessive
- Build 10 Biofuel Converters on a single farm: This is another time consuming achievement. Unfortunately, there is also cheesing it You just have to wait idle to stack enough money to buy Biofuel Converters on a single farm.
Moo…
- Place down ten cows on one farm: For this achievement, wait for Slate to farm the fossiles needed for cows. Also note that Slate’s maximum fossil amount is linked to how many cows & pigs you’ve bought. So it is important that you either buy a cow or a pig whenever you can. This way Slate will continue collecting fossils.
Oink!
- Place down ten pigs on one farm: Same instructions as the previous achievements apply here. All you can do is wait for Slate to find those fossils and remember to avoid letting your fossil amount cap.
Architect
- Build on every available tile: For this achievement you’ll need to unlock all farm expansions and place buildings as well as decorations on all of the tiles on your farm. Try mostly building crop tiles because it will assist you for the following achievement.
666
- Build 666 crop tiles on a single farm: This is one of those achievements that will cost you quite a lot since the prices of crop tiles increase every time you buy some. This will take you ~42 4×4 crop patches to complete and smaller crop patches also count for this achievement. However, you might need to remove some bots and decorations to have enough space for the tiles so plan accordingly.

One advice is to try for all of these achievements simultaneously side by side instead of focusing on one at a time. Look at where you are in the game and check how many achievements you can aim for at once.
