The First Descendant is a looter shooter, which means that you’re going to be acquiring a lot of weapons and all sorts of items throughout the course of your in-game career. Because of that, you’re probably wondering how to level up your favorite guns. In this guide, we’ll be showing you one of the ways to quickly enhance your lower-level weapons.
NOTE: Please be aware that this guide is made from the demo version of the game, and its recommendations may no longer be optimal upon the game’s full release.
How to Power Level Guns
In order to power level guns, you’ll first need weapons that are a higher level than the item you wish to upgrade, preferably the highest that you can loot.
To get to the location where you can upgrade weapons, you’ll have to go to the main hub area and run straight outside from where you spawn. From there, head to the right and just keep following the path.
You’ll eventually see several NPCs, as well as the Workbench. The workbench is where you want to go, as it will allow you to transfer levels between weapons.
Upon interacting with the workbench, select Weapon Level Transmission. In the menu that pops up, just select the weapon that you wish to upgrade. Then, simply choose the gun that you wish to feed to the chosen weapon and its level will be transferred to it.
Do note that you’ll require Phase Exchangers for this process. If you’re in need of some, simply run outside and take a left to find an NPC named Anais. She will give you the option to build Phase Exchangers at the cost of some Superalloy and Liquid Metal.
If you need more high-level weapons to upgrade, consider farming the purple missions in the Sterile Lens. These activities yield tons of weapon drops, allowing you to power up your lower-level gear or challenge tougher bosses.
And that’s how you can quickly level up your guns. Now go out there and start looting some more of them!
