Xenoblade Chronicles 3: How To Complete Big Friendly Friend

ANOTHER Fetch Quest?

Role Playing Games love their mundane quests, players often see them as just a quick way to get XP and money. The worst offenders are radiant quests that has been popularized by recent Bethesda games, side quests with no end which are basically fetch, deliver or kill quests. These quests are designed to pad out play time and is a product of old game design back when games had to be worth the high price in the past. Now that games are more available these days these quests get annoying for some players, but for others they’re basically tradition. In this guide we’ll show how to complete one of those quests in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 called Big Friendly Friend.

Side quests doesn’t have to be boring and mundane, some of them can be fun and enjoyable. Some of them have neat little story bits that flesh out the world or side characters in a story. Big Friendly Friend is one of those quests.

In this quest you’ll need to farm a bunch of ingredients, and sometimes getting these ingredients can be a pain. Mostly they’re time consuming and annoying, so we won’t wait for that. What we’ll do is go to Aetia Region and get to this specific place in that map.

Around the water should be a bunch of items and ingredients. Don’t worry about the mobs you can just ignore them; our main goal is to pick up a certain item; Splendorshells.

They’re quite rare so if you don’t find anything just teleport away from the area and teleport back in the reset the items on the floor.

Another place that we can farm is here in the Fornis Region outside of Colony 30.

In this area there are also a lot of items and ingredients around but what we’re looking for are Stinger Piles. Not as rare as Splendorshells so you might want to try collecting these. Again, if you’ve taken all the items there then you can just jump out and jump back into the area to respawn the items.

Now that you know what to get and where to get, go out there and start farming those items!
