Learning the intricacies, tactics, and mechanics of a new game can be daunting. You could always learn through trial and error, but most people don’t have the time to do that. In Warcraft Rumble, you can build your decks to play in the game, but for a new player, that can be quite confusing. You don’t know that much about the game yet. So, how do you build a good deck?
In this guide, we’ll show you some tips and tricks in making a strong balanced deck for newbies of the game. We’ll also show you some great units and spells that are a must-have for most decks. Now, let’s build your first one!
How To Build A Strong Balanced Deck
When trying to make your deck, it’s best to start small and learn the mechanics as you go. At the start, you won’t have a lot of heroes yet and your units won’t have the levels to boot.
Continuous playing will help that and as you play you get to experience more of the game. Here are some tips to get you started in deck building.
If you want to, just skip and go to the meta decks for PVP, then check out our guide on the Top 5 Meta PVP decks in the game.
Building Around A Hero
Pick a hero and check out their abilities. It’s the best way to get a feel for what kind of deck you’ll need for said hero. For example, the hero Tirion looks like a tank but it can also cast healing. You can use that to your advantage and build a footmen deck where the hero and other units heal footmen.
You can also just focus on the hero itself like a Hogger deck where you focus on keeping it on the field as much as possible. That’s because Hogger gets stronger the more times it’s sent into the field.
Also, remember that heroes give bonuses to the same race of units. As shown in the image above, the hero is Undead and thus, it gives bonuses to 3 units of undead and 1 spell. You can add undead units to those slots to get the bonus, but you don’t have to.
Unit Costs And Levels
When you look at a unit, you can see the gold cost of that unit below the model. Be sure to have a good balance of high and low-cost units. You can see the average cost of the unit in the deck on the lower right of the area of the deck.
Units also have levels and they get better as you use them. Some units gain bonus levels from heroes of the same race as mentioned above. Don’t focus on levels that much as you’ll gradually get them as you play the game, just remember that these levels will also unlock abilities and such for the unit.
There are not a lot of must-have units in the game, but there are meta units like the S.A.F.E. Pilot. When you deploy this unit, it’ll explode on the area you place it and then drop a single ranged unit with a lot of damage. This unit is great for defensive and offensive plays so make sure to try it out!
Learn how the units work and see what the best combinations for them are. For example, AOE units often don’t have that much health, so have some tank units to soak up the damage. The same goes for high-damage units with low HP, what’s the use of their damage if they just die on the first hit?
Buying Units And Grinding Levels
Of course, there are a lot of different units that you can buy in the game, and if you want you can unlock them. Remember that they usually start at lower levels than your usual units and you’ll need to use them to grind their levels.
Make sure to take advantage of bonus XP quest events and free daily shards to level them up quickly!
Of course, you can also just buy gold with real-life money to make things a bit faster. You can even earn gold in the game to buy shards so remember that and farm some gold!
With those tips, you can now build a strong balanced deck in Warcraft Rumble. Now, go out there and try to make one for yourself!
