There’s plenty of sights to see when you’re playing ARK: Survival Ascended. This includes the oversized reptiles out to kill you along with the plants that give you a weird itch whenever you come into contact with them. With all that fun happening at once, it makes it difficult to spot things you actually need.

Things like the beehives hanging around can be easily missed if they’re far off. You can even miss them up close on rare occasions. Good thing, we have a more direct approach in solving this issue. It’s better than leaving a marker on your map telling you where to find beehives. Check out the quick guide below and find out what it may be!

How to Highlight Beehives Guide | Cheats

Beehives usually sit on the edge of the trees in the Redwood Forests. We’ll be using cheats in order to highlight the beehives in your surroundings.

There’s no other way to circle around it, so hopefully, using cheats won’t affect your ability to sleep at night.

Hit “Enter” and type in the command that says “show InstancedFoliage” without any special characters. Once the game receives your input, all of the trees will disappear.

You’ll still bump into them of course if you come any closer. But now, you’ll see every beehive nearby, the height of which they’re hanging from will vary.

Naturally, you can only do this on a single player game or any other server without any proper security.

Now, instead of taking forever to find a beehive, you’ll know which tree to climb to get the resources you need.

You’d want the trees back once you’re done taking a look around. To do that, just enter the same command again and everything will be back to normal.

And that’s how you highlight beehives using cheats in ARK: Survival Ascended. Now you can focus on other things, like climbing a tree and actually getting close to a hive without falling!

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
