The Ark Survival games now have a new addition to their ranks and even with the new game, there are still familiar things you’ll want to do. One of those things is collecting resources to build up your bases and make all sorts of items. In Ark Survival Ascended, some of these resources are easy to find, while others have specific spawn points. You’ll need to venture out and around the map to get them.
In this guide, we’ll show you the top 5 best Silica Pearl locations in Ark Survival Ascended. We’ll go through some areas on the map that have the most of them in one place! Now, let’s see where you can find them.
Top 5 Best Silica Pearl Locations
Usually, to look for Silica Pearls in the game you’ll need to go to the deeper parts of the ocean. This can be a problem because you can get attacked down there and you’ll need some special gear to stay there.
There are some areas on the map though where they’re in shallow waters like the Snow Biome to the northwest!
Just remember that when you’re looking for the pearls, you’re looking for clams like the ones shown below. Unlike the previous games, the Silica Pearl Clam doesn’t glow anymore, which can be a bit tough to find.

Location #1
The first location where you can find these Silica Pearls in the shallows is shown on the map below. Remember this is the Snow Biome on the upper left of the map. The coordinates for this area are 27.5 Latitude and 29.9 longitude.
This area can be a bit dangerous because there are a bunch of different animals that can attack you. It is shallow waters though and you can just dive in and look for the Pearls here. Just keep in mind that some of the pearls can be found in the grassy parts of the waters, so don’t forget to check there!
Location #2
The next location is to the north of the previous one near the shores. The coordinates for this area are 9.1 Latitude and 30.7 longitude.
Since this is an Ocean biome and not the river like the previous one, you won’t have to worry about Piranhas. You’ll have to watch out for Megladons though, as they can be quite dangerous deeper into the ocean.
Look for the pearls near the beaches and rock formations in the area, and you can find them without any trouble!
Location #3
The next area is to the east of the previous location where the River meets the ocean. The coordinates for this area are 9.4 Latitude and 39.7 Longitude.
This is one of the shallowest areas you can find the Silica Pearl shells. They’re easy to spot here and there are not many animals that can attack you here. There are shells all around the shores of this area, as well as the shores of the little island there.
Location #4
This next one isn’t a location, but you can use Otters to find pearls for you. The best thing about this method is that you can send your Otter to any place that has fish, be it streams or lakes.
All you need to do is order the little guy to attack and kill a fish. Once it comes back, it’ll have a chance to give you a pearl.
Just look at the cute little guy! There’s a downside to this method though, since it’s not guaranteed that you get a pearl each time.
This method is best used when going to the other locations shown in this list. While traveling, just tell your Otter to kill some fish here and there.
Location #5
The last location is where the Snow Biome ends on the western shores of the island. The coordinates for this area are 35.7 Latitude and 12.3 Longitude.
The area we’re looking for isn’t actually in the Snow Biome but a bit south to the warmer area. That means you don’t need clothes to stay warm here. Just look through the streams and waters in this area, and you can find a lot of Silica Pearls!
